[h=2]1984 TREK 760 racing bike. 56cm, Campagnolo, Reynolds 531P, restored! - $640 (Round Lake Beach, IL)[/h]

This is an extremely rare 1984 Trek 760 competition racing road bike that was factory-ordered with all Campagnolo components (entire group set including derailleurs, brakes/levers, seat post, headset, wheel hubs), and Matrix Iso hard anodized tubular wheels/tires. The bike was raced for the first two years and then stored. Reynolds 531 Professional double butted frame. All components are original to the bike with the exception of wear/tear items which were replaced in the restoration/overhaul. It still even has the original Avocet leather saddle in good condition.

The bike was just professionally overhauled and is 100% ready to race or display. The Panaracer tubular tires are brand new as well as all cables/housings, new chain, brake lever hoods and perforated "vegan" leather handlebar tape for the finishing touch. Fine tuned for proper function and rides like brand new. The bike is super lightweight and solid. There are some blemishes including minor pitting/corrosion on cable guides and lug joints by the bottom bracket. Rides wonderfully, it's super fast, stops on a dime and handles like it's on rails. Pedals are not shown, but will include a pair of brand new Wellgo platform pedals with the sale. The frame measures 56cm (from the center of the crank to the top of the seat tube). The top tube measures 55cm (center to center). The top tube measures 31.75" from the ground, so it would be suited for most riders 5'8" to 6'0" in height.

I can deliver the bike to the Round Lake Metra stop if you wish to take the Train. I can also meet in the O'Hare/Des Plaines areas as well on some weeknights. A great deal at $640 cash. Thanks and happy cycling!

Again, Buyer Beware. Back to the St. Germain's, ad bikes? Or what? Where is the documentation this bike actually originally sold for $1,000?? A single speed? And the same kind of hokey saddle too if it claims to be Brooks. Bunk I say. Maybe because they were made by "Linus" of California they are worth something? Naw.

2 Limited Edition St. Germain Bicycles by Linus, California

Do the French care about the manner in which they go from Point A to Point B??

Certainement! Which is why there's a very limited number of these vintage-inspired, single-speed St‑Germain Roadster and Dutchi, originally retailing at $1000 each.

***Selling 2 Limited Edition St. Germain Bicycles by Linus, California***
1 St. Germain "Roadster" by Linus, BRAND NEW - ASK $450
1 St. Germain "Dutchi" by Linus, BRAND NEW - ASK $450

OR $870 for both, offers welcome.
St. Tropez, if I am correct, these were low quality French bike boom products.

Someone posted that Heron from Maine, great company Heron is with their bikes, they seem to struggle a little and I look at the other bikes on the Maine CL; wow, now, some of these are from New England, the area but.

French 1970s Motobecane Grand Luxe frameset Reynolds 531, Stronglite
It says '70s but I think this could easily be a '60s bike, "Grand Luxe"? frame. $125 if in good condition is getting this for a song.

Triple Crank Stronglight. this is a real wow bike, among the best deals I have seen. The fork chrome??

Chiorda, looks like more bike boom fare.
Chiorda Road bike 10 speed 22 inch
Ten Speed decal on the downtube, tacky, otherwise see for oneself.
Thread on Chiordas, that's about what it sounds like Bike boom, mainly entry level bikes, maybe a few good ones. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/220723-chiorda-bicycles.html

So a Zebrakenko Storm bike was posted the other day, here is a Wind bike, I could not help post, 1984, replacement fork? It's all white.

1984 Zebrakenko Wind road bike

Peugeot Road bike (Bordeaux)

Peugeot UO8 Road Bike - White

Is an Automoto Roadster type bike on that CL as well.

A Georgena Terry Woman's Roadbike, lugged: Georgena Terry WSD Chrom Road bike

So did they ever unwrap it?

https://nh.craigslist.org/bik/5367463982.html

A Puch for $100, tange, double-butted.

Amazing bikes on every page; apparently only from New Hampshire!

A good number are from my side of the river (VT), including the Hartland VT guy who lists a lot of crap bikes on both the VT & NH CL....they rarely seem to sell, at least at the asking price.

Link isn't working, must be a closed group. How tall and do you have any idea what year it is? Can you copy and post a picture?

Sure. Seller says it is 1980. Here is the text from the ad:

Bought this bike several months ago locally from a lawyer here in HTown.
Very tall 25", 64cm frame.
It doesn't look like I will be riding this one. For someone skinnier than me. I am riding ATBs and touring bikes. Not this light fast vintage road racer.
Shimano 600 everything, dura ace shifters, campy record hubs.
Cheap!!!! Same price I paid.
If you know what this really is, then you know this is only about half or less what it is really worth. Passing on the deal.
Still for sale

Thanks for sending that. I have one just like it, but was hoping this was a late 80s model. It's definitely a great bike.

Guerricoti, $800, yes, a bit pricey: https://southbend.craigslist.org/bik/5382191470.html

And this ad, it says it's a '72 and it says $125
https://southbend.craigslist.org/bik/5391002116.html

Looks like a real antique, looks like a motorbike, they did a better job than perhaps they know on this bike of customizing it.

1986 Bertoni Specialissima

[h=2]1986 Bertoni Specialissima - $400[/h]

safety tips

do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
1986 (I believe) Bertoni Secialissima 56 cm. 8 speed Shimano 600 STI group (not original group), although the headset and (I think) bottom bracket is Dura Ace. The Specialissima was Bertoni's top of the line model and features Columbus SL tubing with a unique aero cross section on the forks and seat stays. It has new Schwalbe Marathon tires on Mavic wheels. The stem and seat post are Bertoni pantographed units.

A previous owner removed the paint on the rear triangle, exposing chrome which is sort of ugly but it looks good from a ways back. Bike rides fantastic but I just bought an Eddy Merckx and I need to make room for it (too many bikes!).

Bertoni was Ben Lawee's (of Univega and ItalVega fame) top notch Italian brand that was made for him by Bianchi.

$400

Will consider partial trades of clean Dura Ace 7400 stuff that I will use to build up the EM.

For you SunTour barcon fans...

I came across someone selling the bolt sets for our SunTour barcons - actually they are exact reproductions but made from stainless steel.

Bikeville thoughts: For Sale: Suntour Bar-Con bar-end shifter hardware set.

I got mine yesterday, and they look great. Now there's no excuse for using the 'wrong' hardware!
