Maybe worthwhile to someone near Denver if you can negotiate local pickup and get this for $129? Small red 80's Falcon Triathlon 105. Sure, 105 group isn't totally desirable, but it's all 531, looks like it was regularly waxed, paint is solid. Mechanical stuff needs cleaning.

it is possible seller got the Pletscher name from the ESGE plate style bridges. iirc these are oft marked "ESGE-Pletscher."

A bike shop is selling one of these Mixtes in town, it has a nice baby seat on it as well to haul around a young one which I could use. I've thought of this one for awhile and quite can not get myself to get this Batavus though it looks a good size for a Mixte and a male. 21" frame they say and just a bit over $100. I think those are ESGE fenders. At some point, I'd really like to get a Mixte

A Google Alert I set up several years ago finally brought something in, for the first time: a Centurion Prestige, for sale in Orange County CA. I will note it in the 'Ironman' thread as it'll be of interest there, and of course it's far more rare.

Zactly, no need for that ebayer to shout. I guess that works when they sell Pez dispensers and Pokeman cards. I just don't get why the seller wouldn't do a little extra research or post details + pics. Doubt one would get anywhere with further inquiry.

We post links and info of bikes that may be of interest and interesting. I happen to like some of the replica and tribute bikes. With a great story line behind the ADR team and this represented brand I feel this one is worthy of discussing. Especially the significance of LeMond's most dramatic year with them in '89. His return after the shooting accident and then beating the 'Professor' by only 8 sec. in the TdF, shortly later breaking his contract and the move to team Z.

The poorly listed auction may or may not work to ones favor. Had the seller take some better pic's and describe whats on it and condition, maybe they'll get more for it. Yet on the hand, if a buyer doesn't know what condition it's in or what potential a slammed (er' seized) seat'pin' means, its good luck bucky. Cheer's

The pics are not very good, but if that first one really is a Cinelli for only $80?!?! Then it is a "run don't walk" deal.
The Cannondale is a great bargain too. Also, it looks like a 1988 not 1998 bike.

The Raleigh is nothing special.

Despite the stuck seatpost, I think it would be a good donor parts source if not your size, definitely the kind of capital investment that you would not be afraid to ride & lock up. I have a couple of curbside rescues that are really useful to have in the fleet.

Bianchi classic

Will anyone please give me some feedback on this bike. I'm not very knowledgable with components and such but love the way the old steel lugged frames look.

Thanks

Jubilee Sport for $150, lugged, Vitus. Longview Texas. Maybe scratched some, not sure if it is readily rideable, probably.

I thought this same thing about the Cinelli after looking at earlier, was thinking about calling a friend there to pick up. It's gone....

I don't know a lot about Bianchi's so take this with a pound of salt...

The lack of braze on's make me think it could be from the 60/70's
Certainly a repaint
Nice campy parts
Price seems a bit high, especially with the repaint.

You might get better traction in the appraisals thread.

Someone buy this so I don't--in a small 2 bedroom apartment with 5 bikes already I might be up to that N+1 unless your partner will leave you stage. Pretty fair asking price, imo.

70s Libertas (Belgian) for $90 an hour south of Atlanta. 531, looks like a Silca pump w/Campy umbrella, either Suntour or Campy shifters, maybe a Campy seatpots, but otherwise all Suntour/SR with what looks like CLB brakes (levers and center-pulls)? Dunno. Frame looks straight, 531 decals intact but the others faint or gone, a bit rough but not rusty-rusty.
