Not C&V and not what I'd call a looker by any stretch of the imagination, but the deal looks solid, even not knowing much (or anything, really) about this particular model.

Ditto. Probably 80s, not 70s as stated by ad. Even the saddle is high end. Nice bike.

I'm with you on the 'looker' comment. But yeah, for a shot at a good quality modern road bike I'd say it's a pretty good deal alright.

Looks to be a restoration, not that I'd kick it out of my bed.

Just to nit pick, did Campy make a fluted seat post before the SR stuff?

Could be a steal at this price or it could be in rubbish condition. No pics yet, but worth investigating for anyone in the Twin Cities looking for a small touring bike.

Interesting - it sold once already (March 6th) for $4150. I thought I'd seen it up at least once before. Quite a thick repaint. If I'm going to pay 4k+ for a vintage bike, well, I guess I'm just too picky

I wouldnt pay that much either, but it sure is pretty. I love the simplicity of a well made older road bike. Nothing against modern road bikes (Fuji SL anyone?), but I really dig the clean lines and efficient design of the vintage models. It's just you, the road, and your machine.

Unusual find. Much like a Terry. As shown, condition looks excellent and original.

This is a Like New Bianchi Sport SX , the bike has 700mm rear wheel and a 24" frt wheel , Suntour derailures , Sugino double crank , Dia-Compe side pull brakes looks to be from late 80's and looks like it was NEVER rode . It was designed for a short rider ....

Looking at the BB, the paint looks good to me. The serial # is still clear. I would want some significant history for the bike to justify paying that much though.

I wanted to put this one in the wacky thread, but its a really nice bike. He's had it for sale forever at $1,900, but since it hasn't sold he raised the price.

Sort of felt the need to just pick it up given how nice they ride. Met the seller and got it at a good price. It'll need some work to get it looking right but cosmetically, I know it's going to come out well.

Need it it like I need another hole in my head though. Especially with that Kvale coming down the pike...
Lol. I hear ya'. I'm patiently waiting for that Pinarello (Treviso?) in Austin from a few pages back...

Nothing wacky about the bike. Just that it's been on Craigslist for over a year at $1900, Now it's $2250.

Went out this morning to take some proper "before" pics before I start to tear it down. Reflects the color pretty good here, bike is completely untouched and as purchased at this point as that's how I like to document before pictures. Here's just the standard full bike shot.

Paint is in very good shape for an Italian. Will clean up nice. Have some work to do on the chrome, especially the fork where it looks like someone had stickers and then peeled them off on both legs but left the residue. Good thing is, no pitting. So just clean up and polishing.

That is wacky! If he didn't sell it at $1900 why up the price to $2250, I don't think inflation went up that much in a year. He probably listed it at $1900 got a lot of bites so he decided to up the price.
