This isn't a steal (or steel), but the tandem market is wonky, and I could see this being great for someone.

This is an attractive (and attractively-priced, IMO) bike in a pretty active market that hasn't been selling, so I wonder what the deal is.

Maybe prospective buyers are scared off by the janky bar and brake lever setup, which can be pretty easily rectified.

Two different pics of chain, no shift cables at all, other pic with short chain as SS, shifters not online at all, pretty sketchy.

Not particularly cheap, but this is an attractive-looking Trek. No, that is not an oxymoron!

$699 plus shipping for a 720 in my size and in what appears to be very good condition. Damn.

Put another way, could one purchase it as a parts bike and turn a profit? I'd say so, yes.

I don't get it. If you ride it, it's a standard $900ish Raliegh international after a week. Maybe a few hundred extra premium for condition. If you keep it as a show piece, well...ok, it's pretty, but it's just a relatively common raleigh international.

Nice deal on a sweet bike. I'd tune it up and ride it.
