NIB Bianchi Squadra. '86 I think. The seller says it's a 56 but looks like a 54 to me. What do you think? $335+$100 ship.

1960s Raleigh Carlton Road Bike

From reading around here, it looks like it has that Raleigh anniversary head badge which might mean it is 1970 or after; an interesting deal for $200. A bit crusty but it has character.

--------------------------------------------------

Though, I certainly don't vouch for the following as something I want, it is an interesting take on cruisers made by Alice and Olivia.

What do I think? I think somebody's going to get a brand new, Italian built & equipped, Columbus tubed, lugged steel Bianchi at a nice price.

Eyeballing them, I'd say that they were 54 and 58 cm respectively.
And if I were in the market for another nice Italian steel bike, I'd already have bought the smaller one, but between my Tommasini and my De Rosa, it would never get ridden.

I hope I'm not posting the same Clubman cycle from a few pages back, only $100 and just put up a day ago.

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sf...517062446.html

Awesome. Right, Austrian made.

https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...e-company.html

This likely is a woman's frame Hosteler that is much like the woman's Clubman on ebay, no questionable fork here; I got this and hope to put up some photos soon, SIS indexed shifting works so fine, pin striping etc. I've been ranting about it but it seems ideal perhaps except the saddle.

Those Raleigh Waterslide Decals are very disappointing to me, at least that one year and it looks like they've been weathered on this one too.

As for saddles, sometimes one just uses what is comfortable, for a nice club ride or for show, bring out the leather.

Those have to be the Hutchinson grips found on some of the early '80s Motobecanes; this is nice; it's a work of art and I guess it operates ... but honestly, that's what the ad says, it was part of an exhibition.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

This vintage lightweight race bike was recently refurbished by the Hartford Bicycle Studio for an art/cycling exhibition and is an absolute one of a kind ride. The frame has been repainted with top quality automotive primer, paints, and clear coat and accented with genuine Brazilian Rosewood, American Birdseye Maple, and Madagascan Ebony. All wood pieces were sliced to less than 2mm thin, painstakingly carved to fit the tubes and lugs, bonded to the frame with specialized 2 part epoxy, and sealed with Tung oil (used in fine woodworking) for waterproofing. The saddle was reupholstered with top grade leather to match. This bike is fresh out of an art exhibition and ready to roll.

The specs: The frame is 53cm and ideal for a rider about 5'6"-5'11". It is made with double butted Vitus 172 tubing throughout the frame and forks and features beautifully filed and windowed lugs. The entire component group is the ornate and sought after Shimano 600 Arabesque (later Shimano Ultegra, second from the top behind Dura Ace) and every component is in perfect working order.

I can ship as well. For more photos and details please see the ebay link below.

$550, really, for such a one of a kind bike, if one could close the sale for that amount really doesn't seem so bad and this is handsome. Someone might grab this one fast so I thought I'd post it and all photos.

80s Peugeot Iseran in Kokomo, Indiana, reduced to $150. This is exactly my size, but the steel wheels, Carbolite tubing and the possibility of French parts are giving me pause. Anyone know if the bottom bracket and other parts are French size?

There is a lot of TLC in the bike, but it's an odd mix of aesthetics and mechanical components. The leather is nice, but the wood laminations are odd. It would make a nice sport bike, but it's not really collectable.
