Sorry about the 620 that would have been a great bike. Being made of steel some bike shops have frame/fork alignment tools that could have straightened all that out for not a lot of money, and if you were lucky it may have been just the fork or just a rear stay which would have been the cheapest things to realign.

I once had a mishap on a bike, coming down the hill, it put a slight bend in the derailleur hanger; the bike shop spotted it and straightened it out for nothing, they said it was pretty minor. At the least, let someone look at a frame one thinks is misshaped.

Well, maybe a $15 SWATCH, as opposed to a $15,000 Patek Philippe. In other words, it will tell time just fine. But it's not a luxury item, nor something to show off to impress others.

These are pretty cool I wish I was in Dallas. The Little 500 is the race from "Breaking Away" Did Schwinn market Little 500 bikes or are these from the actual race? The bikes fit the formula used for the race.

Already gone, that was fast! Have a friend in the 6'4 range in the area, would have passed it along if it were still available. Thanks for the share.

Yeah that's a sweet ride for low money. Too big for me though, no money to buy it, and too far away. Phew!

Bike Swap: April 13 - 17
Bike Drop Off: April 13 - 15
How the Swap Works

  • BRING IN YOUR OLD BIKES APRIL 13-15
  • SET A PRICE FOR YOUR BIKE (WE CAN HELP)
  • IF IT SELLS, YOU RECEIVE IN-STORE CREDIT FOR THE ENTIRE SALE PRICE
Bike Swap - Valley Bike & Ski Shop - MN, Apple Valley
Valley Bike and Ski, Apple Valley, Minnesota, South of the Twin Cities, near Burnsville and Eagan.

It sounds interesting enough to check out if one lived nearby. I guess there would be no bartering. Dates need to be double checked. One wouldn't think one could find some real diamonds in the rough but you never know.

Just looked at Vintage Trek and it's an 83. It is missing the seat tube decal wrap. It was also converted to DT shifters, apparently.

Nebraska area bikes

My guess is this is a Super Course MK II(?), a bit crusty but that makes it look distinguished.

Yes, this one would surely be costly at $700 I would think, it is still interesting to see what is selling in Nebraska. Interesting bike though.

About a '75 Nomade and they put a Crane derailleur on; still has the serrated steel wheels, they may have taken the cottered crank off. That bike probably has French threading. Nice to see a Nomade get such attention, wow.
