I "recycled" seven bikes since spring 2015 and bought my new Yeti frameset.

My wife was thrilled to see them all go, but was far less than enamored when she saw the bill for the Yeti SB5.

I don't dare tell her what the wheelset cost.

I had one just like it.

Great riding frameset.

Luckily this isn't anywhere near Minnesota, as I would buy it.

I've never seen one in such great condition, the panto'd parts are really nice and not too over the top like they often are with Colnagos.

Nice minty green Peugeot Mixte near Green Bay, whenever I've received something per shipping from there, they always seem to pack them well.

Ditto that it isn't on the West coast. What a deal. Bet seller gets flooded and raises price.

This is the first time I've seen one of these Lotus Aeros listed in the LA area and it looked to be in decent shape, so I thought I'd post. Bikes from the "aero" era don't seem to pop up very often in general around here (I did get an aero Araya a while back, which I'll get around to building up one of these days...).

Someone mentioned an early '80s Centurion Le Mans the other day, my friend has a green one.

Here is one, claiming late '70s; my own opinion is this one is overpriced but it is amazing that this one's paint job and lettering at least, does appear to emulate the early '70s Raleigh Grand Prix, the red ones in this case. Most bikes with mattress saddles are not priced at this level. I could be wrong.

Vintage 1970'S Centurion Le Mans

Maybe even cerca 1980 Centurions are thought to be prime bikes, this Mixte has been up for awhile, $180.

Centurion Lemans12
Japanese vintage/retro-ish bicycle
Stepover/women's frame
Fits someone about 5'6''
New wheels
Kept inside and not ridden in rain/snow

Next on the hit parade. Dig this vintage Ritchey tandem. Think of the possibilities and conversion / either on or off-road.

Bowling Green, Motobecane Mixte with the subtle bend in the dual top tubes; I don't know what catalog they would match. You usually don't see these. Chrome fork.

Vintage Motobecane Mixte Road/Cruiser 10 speed RESTORED
(compare to the usual Motobecane fare: Vintage Motobecane Mixte )

Of course, there are a variety of Mixte styles; Shogun Mixte, Fenway, Boston CL.

1967 Bottecchia Giro d'Italia

Put those woody fenders on this one and it looks good but those fenders alone are often about $150.

1973 Raleigh Grand Prix redo

So, the same seller puts some woody fenders on and on a raleigh Grand Prix which I think looks smashing. Was posted already.

As the other chap here said, I'd like to talk to this person who has a way with bikes. I think he/she does a good job.

Unsure about two different colors shellacking handlebar tape but it's different and creative.

Both bikes, especially the Bottechia seem to be in amazing condition, a full restoration perhaps.

Vintage 1970'S Centurion Le Mans

That might be one of the first run of Centurion bikes. The story goes that Raleigh America sourced a Japanese company to manufacture Raleigh Grand Prix bikes for the America market, but the parent company in England nixed the deal, fearing they might be too well made in comparison to the English-made Raleighs. The marketing director in California, Mitch Weiner, took the already manufactured bikes, put Centurion stickers on them, and the rest is history.

The paint scheme does not match the Raleigh Grand Prix timeline; the look is of the early '70s, even late '60s Raleigh Carlton Grand Prixs is different than the 1977 Grand Prixs.

Retro Raleighs: The Grand Prix

Raleigh USA contracted Centurion after the initial run but there is a connection:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centurion_%28bicycle%29

But by then, Raleigh Grand Prixs did look different and this contract was for Raleigh USA.

Pegasus also made a Raleigh England Grand Prix lookalike bicycle.

Vista made a bike that has similar lettering to '70s Motobecanes.
