Here's a clean looking and well-priced Bridgestone RB-1 in Cupertino; if it were a later model with fender eyelets, I'd be seeking out a facilitator.

CLASSIC 92 Bridgestone RB-1, 59cm, great shape

an oak cabinet full of parts, some prizes, some junk, the seller's in Merced, CA so it's not close to any major urban center (except maybe Lodi, of course!) and you have to haul/truck it back to your man-cave...

That's pretty cool. Remember a year or so ago there was a haul of really nice bikes like Colnagos, etc? I think it was somewhere around Modesto. there are some vintage pack rats in Central CA.

[h=2]Merckx Frame - $500 (Somerville) [/h]

Road worn but wonderfull Merckx frame with Chris King headset.

Bike is suited for a rider around or above 6 feet tall. I will be home all week and you are welcome to check it out. Very light and a wonderful ride but I just need my commuter ride and this frame is better suited to someone who will take it out for some nice long rides.

Bicycle Takara 1970's Vintage Gem - $150 (South St. Paul)
Bicycle Takara 1970's Vintage Gem
Looks kind of like a 531 sticker on the seat tube. The bike is worn some. Patina I guess.

This thread has a blurb about Romic making some Reynolds 531 frames for Takara, not much detail there.

Even looks like the original aluminum fork. Good deal if so and that's asking price.

Would kill it for me, buying parts only with that dent on top. 350 can get a good complete bike with patience.

Corsaro Cintra; rather obscure brand but there is a thread on them:
Women's Vintage Corsaro Cintra Bicycle ($40 Mixte)

https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...knowledge.html

--------

$100 Motobecane Grand Touring; sticker says 1020 tubing, ad says Vitus in 3 main tubes. Also, the drive-side drop out, is it worn, dirty or does that look like some welding happened? To me, for some reason, you can see right to the frame and I would not think it looks like welding but that it lost a lot of paint for some reason.

Vintage Men's Motobecane Grand Touring Road Bicycle, 24" Frame
The bike has just probably seen a lot of mileage.

Frustrating non-drive side photo, and probably overpriced, but right off the bat I spot Nuovo Record shifters and high flange hubs, Columbus Brain tubing -- maybe worth an inquiry if anyone is searching for a small frame bike.

Opus frameset on the auction site, looks like 1984, 58cm. No bids yet and reasonable price but definitely shows signs of use.

1978 Austro Daimler Superleicht

Vintage 1978 Austro Daimler Superleicht ("Super light")

Austro Daimler was a premium branch of the Austrian bicycle manufacturer Puch.

This is a top of the line racing bike from the late '70's in excellent condition. It is a very fast and smooth riding road bike with high end components.

Seat tube height: 22" or 56 cm
531 Reynolds steel frame. Campagnolo front and rear drop-outs.
Classic Campagnolo Nuevo Record Drive train and headset. Down tube shifters
New Nitto Stem. I also have a longer 3TTT 140 stem
Campagnolo side pull brakes
Matrix Titan 700c rims with new Continental Grand Prix tires and freshly lubed bearings
San Marco Concor America leather race saddle
Pedals not included

I am selling because it is a little big for me (5'8").

Trek, Colnago, Pinarello, Cinelli
Very deluxe.

$45 Gitane Mixte nearby: https://madison.craigslist.org/bik/5508711023.html

Yes, the seat angle is off once again, in fact, very high set as well.

Big one, not a great build but probably an original frame and if you need this size...........

Vintage 63cm Molteni Orange Eddy Merckx w/ Campy

[h=2] Vintage 63cm Molteni Orange Eddy Merckx w/ Campy - $1100 (Brewster) [/h]

craigslist - Map data OpenStreetMap

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Eddy Merckx

Moving to a smaller spot so the Merckx has to find a new home! Taking all offers, best brings it home.

This is a beautiful bike that I pieced together over a couple years. Vintage Merckx frame in beautiful Molteni orange. Paint looks to be original or very old repaint- definitely not a show bike (which is why it's not frame only at the price). Super hard to find larger size- Measurements are 63cm seat tube c-c, 58cm top tube c-c. I'm 6'4" and it fits me well with the old "fist full of seatpost" setup. Frame and fork are stamped with Merckx logos so you know it's the real thing.

Components are a mix of Campy stuff. 10 speed Record hubs to open pro's, Record crank, Daytona brifters, Centaur derailleurs. Shimano brakes because I never got around to finding some good old Campy brakes. Vintage and well kept Brooks professional saddle. Cockpit is full brand new Cinelli.

Pedals pictured not included. It'll come with some vintage LOOK clipless pedals if you'd like them.

^ I like how he's only got the one pic of that Merckx and he makes no note of whatever is going on with that fork crown.

Just re-read the CL ad and did not catch that the oak cabinet is NOT INCLUDED, so the haul-away is a little easier but you probably need to bring your own boxes/bags.

And it's still in Merced ("the gateway to Fresno"...maybe).
