Beautiful mixte! Love the color and crankset on that one. Get rid of the turkey wings and cheapa$$ Kenda tires, and that would be even better.

That's a good deal, Grady. The groupset alone is probably worth the asking price.

That's what I thought as well.

Someone here could pick up a well used "Ferrari" at a great price if everything checks out.

This one has been relisted and looks like it may sell this time. Hard to find, top-of-the-line Asain-made Raleigh bike with great components. Currently has 1 bid at $90 + $12 shipping. It was listed previously at $299, which I thought was a good deal, and didn't get a single bid.

I'd be keeping this secret and try to buy myself but I had the seller give me some tube lengths and it's just a smidge to short. Someone should grab it.

Mind sharing the frame measurements? The listing still doesn't have that info.

https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...n-prelude.html

I think this bike is the same as in this fun thread above except for the handlebars replacement.

Schwinn Prelude - Vintage Bling
This Schwinn is the 1987 Prelude model in Miami Vice salmon/soft pink. Prelude used the upper end material Columbus Tenex, (Italian double butted lugged tubing) - superior to entry level frames, and was built in the prime era for Schwinn vintage. More street cred vintage bling on this model includes two sets of brazed bottle cage mounts, crowned fork with cutout, fluted Laprade seatpost, San Marco Selle Italia Italian saddle in grey suede (matching the grey Prelude stripe), higher end nippled alloy Weinmann rims, laced to Malliard hubs, with Malliard quick release levers, downtube Shimano index shifting and Sake SX crank. As you can see it may be pink but it means business - rare condition, super clean with barely a scratch. No issues at all and ready to ride.

Taking a classic vintage road bike and converting it to upright bars makes for a fast and comfortable ride vs. racing bars. All original with exception to handlebars, brake levers, saddle, and tires (tires near brand new along with all cables). Meticulously maintained, rarely ridden, and stored in heated home. Size is approx. 54cm with a stand-over of 30 3/4 inches...so long legs would be a plus.

Compare to Surley for current era frame quality and compare to Trek FX hybrid for style points.
Take your time with a test ride and inspection. Free bottle cage if you need one.

Raleigh Seneca 26" men's bike. Not sure what year it is but I bought it used in 1989. Mechanically OK (new crank bearings a few years ago).

Looks to be a 1993 not late 80's. Could be a nice bike (Tange Prestige frame) for someone with a replacement fork and a non-embarrassing stem. Do those Thudbuster seatposts have resale value?

Specialized FS Stumpjumper Bike- 80"s - $125 (North Oaks, MN)

Specialized FS Stumpjumper Bike- 80"s

I purchased this bike in the late 80's from Rice Street Bike. It has a thump buster shock seat post. The front shock oil needs to be replaced due to hanging the bike and it leaked out. Bike is in good working condition and would make a great commuter. Please respond with your phone number and I will call you to answer any questions.

It also says it's 60 cm. both of those numbers can't be simultaneously true.

It's not "vintage", but a Waterford RS22 made in '06. Complete with 105 9 speed, only $800. With that flame paint job, the frame/fork alone probably costs over $3000. I love the geometry of that model. I'm hoping someone buys it before next weekend or I may be poorer.

True, but whatever size it is, a Dura-Ace crankset is still worth at least that much!

I only looked at this SoFL craigslist listing because I'm looking for a new (older, yet rust-free) truck, and clicked on 'bikes' for the heckofit while I was looking...

Ride The Tiger

Here is a slightly better picture of a Tiger head badge which I've got to like.

Ryan's Rebuilds: 1970s Tiger (October 2011)

I lost the Bikeforums.net thread on this but Tiger bikes seemed to have been distributed by Recreational Equipment in Seattle who would go on to become REI; it was mentioned in the thread that perhaps Tiger bikes were a forerunner to Novara as well.

Kind of a handsome bike, I'd want to look at it closer. Could be a nice woman's vintage ride for the beach.
