Also be aware that these bikes are pretty but can be everything from gaspipe on up, even with chrome and Campy, so do your research.
I like the one you got better and it was cheaper to boot. I wonder if he realized he could get more after he sold yours.

When are you EVER going to see a vintage Pinarello mountain bike out on the trails? You will definitely be the only one riding one if you purchase this steel classic (early '90s). This bicycle was shipped from Anconetta, Italy (a suburb of Vincenza), and although I cleaned it up, you can be sure there is some authentic Italian dirt on it in some hard-to-reach places - so don't miss out on THAT!

The hot pink to dark purple fade paint job had plenty of chips, and the white primer underneath didn't do the visuals any favors. However, pink and purple Sharpie markers really helped to "spruce it up" a bit by camouflaging all the little white flecks! The decals are in very good condition (except for the seatpost), considering Pinarello's reputation for fragile decals. Tires have great tread and plenty of life, too.

The specs: Shimano Deore LX 170 mm crankset with Biopace SG chainrings, Shimano Revoshift 3x7 "grip" shifters, Shimano Acera X derailleurs, Shimano BR-M650 cantilever brakes, 3ttt stem and bars, Selle Royal Slide saddle, Pinarello seatpost, 26" Nisi wheelset

I rebuild/restore/refurbish bicycles (vintage and modern) in my basement shop. You can check out some of my work via my Cycle Tech Royersford page on Facebook or my blog at Cycle Tech

AD Vent Noir $650; price is high given that the original parts are largely missing and the bike has not been that well taken care of. Still the paint looks to be in good shape. Uncertain of size

Wow, just wow! If I didn't have prior commitments I would find a way to get this one. Suicide shift bike is a grail for me and this one has it all.

Gugie would have to braze something onto this bike or find a way to convert it to a different wheelsize or something,

Vintage 1950 French La Perle Randonneur Herse-Singer - $1200 (Los Angeles)

So, this looks like one of those rare parallelogram derailleurs in front of the clog cluster as well though here, I don't know, Nirvex did it so I take it that Simplex did it too but post-war.

And market price would be??? If it is as old as 1950 and in this shape, it seems a good deal. Those components look to be in very good shape. And tyres!

Seems it could be at least sold for $1500; it really must be a buyer's market currently. And to replace that derailleur if something happened? I guess, one could try to affix a "normal" rear derailleur, it seems one could get that working.

Perle a model? Or did the two companies merge? Interesting.
Perle must be a separate company form Singer or Renee Hearse; but maybe the seller knows better to put both of those companies in the heading.

Already posted if a computer user is not blind.

Yep. Prolly a pretty healthy ATC on that fork, considering the big tires and fenders

Is this supposed to be a high end bike? There are very few La Perle's listed in the completed listings search on Ebay and they're all cheap bikes.

Yes, but I'd try and get it for $500 or less just the same. $650 is probably absolute max realistic CL value, if not slightly optimistic.

Just looking at I would think I this condition ( I did notice one bar lever is broken), equipped and age it has to have some good value but I didn't fully research as I do usually since I won't be buying at this time.

If so, it'd be nice to clue the rest of us in.

Here are some Perles.

They look like riders used them in the TdF.

And a good ploy too is to claim ebay has some cheap Perles and not backing up such a statement.
