Merckx are pretty common and unknown who builds for the most part in the Italian arena. I turned down a professional record recently because of this at $650. I would not do this and honestly it probably won't sell being late 80s.

Some stuff in ATL and Chattanooga...

Trek 614, looks to be in great shape, $250: Classic Steel Trek 614

Bianchi Virata, TT dent $165 (wheels alone worth much of that): Bianchi Virata Vintage-Early 90's

Schwinn Premis, $175: Schwinn Premis, 58 x 56, Columbus Tenax frame,White Suntour Components

There was a pretty nice Gitane for $140 also. Emailed the seller to tell them they could get more, but they were just wanting to move it. Opportunity lost

Someone got themselves a great deal on a Campy-equipped Corsa Extra

A Belgian-made Corsa Extra isn't the same thing as the earlier Merckx bikes. And guess what? It sold.

I thought hard about asking one of my friends up there if he'd go pick it up if I got it. Figured it wasn't worth trying after the ad had been up for 5 hours. It had to be gone by then.

(I'm posting this in hopes that one of you guys might pick it up before I give in to temptation.)
So much for you guys helping me resist temptation!

After being up on Craigslist for over a week, the guy still had the bike. I drove out and took a look, and returned home with a sweet, all-original, very lightly used 1983-84 Miyata 1000, complete with OEM front & rear racks.

I'm not overly surprised by a non local sale but just went past the 780 list or whatever it was at. I didn't realize the Belgian ones were considered preferred but don't pay much attention to the later ones. I do like the early ones though.

That is a very nice bike that was extremely well built and highly well painted, it is also a rare bike since the company was only in business for 7 years, read more here: https://dirtroadwashtenaw.com/2011/09...-croll-update/

I think someone of small stature should be running as fast as they can to get that bike.

Likely built by Erik Noren.

I have one and it is very nice. A definite minimalist's delight.

Seller doesn't know what it is, and it's got a dog's breakfast component group (Dura-Ace, Campy, Modolo), but it might be worth a peek for someone in the Madison, WI area. I couldn't make out the logo on the fork crown, but to more knowledgeable people it will probably provide a strong clue.

Steel Road Bike: Campy, Dura-Ace

This is nice. Not cheap, but if you must have it, they don't exactly grow on trees.

^ That's not your grandfather's pedicab. Looks way more interesting than the ones I see schlepping people around Wrigleyville.
