1992 SCHWINN PARAMOUNT. 1992, I BOUGHT IT NEW IN ABOUT 1995 FROM STEVE'S BICYCLES IN RM. DELIVERED TO MY WORK AND I RODE IT HOME (ABOUT 5 MILES). NEVER RIDDEN SINCE. WHITE WITH PURPLE SPLATTER PAINT. ORIGINAL DOWN TO GRIP TAPE. DON'T REMEMBER SIZE BUT FITS 6 FOOT PLUS RIDER. THIS IS NOT A WATERFORD PARAMOUNT, BUT AN ASIAN BUILT, PROBABLY PANASONIC, BUT ALL PARAMOUNTS WERE NICE. PRESTIGE TUBING. CAN'T GET PICRUES TO LOAD ON CL, BUT GLAD TO SEND THEM DIRECTLY TO E-MAIL. DUE TO SCAMMERS I RESPOND TO CALLS ONLY. CAGE AND CLIP PEDALS INCLUDED.just been sitting in garage, would need a tune-up-lube i'm sure.

80s colnago super frame and fork. The frame has been stripped down. The fork is chrome. Both are Columbus slx steel

I'm sure that this could be talked down if anyone wants a rather extensive Colnago project...I also emailed him and received the following:

Parts and paint have been stripped. I grinded off the shifter bosses then bondo and sanded
Quite unfortunate. When we bought my son's Super the owner said he was ready to do the same because the frame was bent anyway. We bought it, took it to the shop, and had the owner look it over. It was just fine thankfully.

Ah yes... That would be a very Reno thing to do.

I remember about two years ago, a fiscally challenged old lady listed a rare and extremely desirable vintage music synthesizer (worth $3500+ any day of the week) on the Reno CL, saying that she didn't know anything about it or how to use it and was simply trying to find a someone who might be able to trade or sell her a "working keyboard" that her grandson would be able to use.

As luck would have it, the first person to get there was a manipulative jerk who lived far more comfortably than just about anybody else in the area. As the story goes, he did not offer her any replacement keyboard, just a few dollars ( > $50) "in good faith", after he bullied and manipulated her regarding the already unheard of price, suggesting that he was doing her a favor taking it off her hands.

The next day it was listed on Craigslist for $5000.

An early 1940's could be even late 30's Bianchi womans cruiser with rod brakes, covered crank/chain. Unforunatly this bike had been painted over by the previous owner before me but this bike is still wicked cool for its time. The bike is clean and rideable as is needs nothing. Cash and pick up only

I think this model started in 1956. There is a good possibility that the serial number was reused in those years, so a common mistake. Nice looking bike!

That site is good, but a bit off on some things. The Racer was in the '56 price list and '57 catalog.

56cm Eddy Merckx SLX vintage steel Frameset - $700 (the shore 07712)

Reply to: sale-gcjak-1624677338@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a beautiful ding free Merckx frame and fork made from the venerable Columbus SLX. Handmade in Belgium and in Hot Pink. It is as straight as the day it was built. The paint is showing its age in a few places, in the form of the odd scratch and scrape; however there is no rust at all. I would keep it but my Raleigh 753 has just been rebuilt and I can’t justify keeping both. At least my wife says I can’t. I had the Merckx built with full Campagnolo and will leave the headset on the frame with the fork. I am selling frame / fork / headset only. The pictures were taken while the bike was complete. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions.

Miyata 914 Road Bike - $225 (Hingham)

Date: 2010-03-02, 9:14PM EST
Reply to: sale-4e68b-1625846024@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

1991 model.
63 cm.
Chrome-moly steel frame, lugged.
Shimano 105 components: front derailleur, brakes, brake levers, hubs, bottom bracket, chainrings.
Rear derailleur: Shimano Deore, fairly new.
Wheels: Wolber.
Saddle: Selle Stratos Hyper Pro.
Pedals: Look, including cleats.
Dual bottle cages.
Tires: Vredestein.
Color: metal-flake red.
Extras included: new Nashbar chain, new Vredestein Race tire, spare spokes, ball bearings for wheels and bottom bracket, Avenir mini-pump.
Miyata 900 series were top of the line in the nineties. The 914 is the 14-speed version of the 910 family. The only higher-end bikes that Miyata made during that era were the ones that did not have numerical model numbers, the Team Miyata and Pro Miyata.
This bike was originally purchased for triathlon competition in 1991.
To view this bike in the 1991 Miyata catalog, go to: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/_whtVpXkKwl...0-h/img275.jpg
This bike had some surface rust. I removed the rust down to bare metal to ensure there was no structural deterioration. There is not. I painted the bare metal with industrial grade primer. I left it that way to help make the bike look not worth stealing. I added a fender to keep my butt dry in wet weather and add to the unstealable look. Asking $225 as is. If I don’t sell it by warm weather, I’ll paint the frame, make it look real pretty, and be asking $325.

This bike has always been stored indoors, well maintained. It is ride-ready. Ride it and you'll love it. A new bike of this quality will cost you in the $1000 range.
