+1; that bike is pure sweetness, I would rather hang that in my house than some sort of abstract art like Stille Wasser by Ute Laum...just one of many examples I would not want to hang on any wall in my house.

I don't know enough to tell anything about this, though I'm sure the $200 asking price is a stretch. It has Campy shifters and some chrome, and pump pegs. I like the lugged-looking scroll work on the stem. Cottered crank, and dollars to donuts the seat post is stuck.

You never know if "needs a little work" means "Something is broken, and I don't know how to fix it", "It needs refurbished and I can't be bothered", or both.

Looks suspiciously like one @jetboy listed a few weeks ago that was selling in Palo Alto. Price is lower though. Seller claims to have lots of vintage parts, so it is a red flag that seller couldn't or wouldn't spruce it up a bit before selling.

I'm surprised this one hasn't sold... it's been here for a few weeks at least. Looks great, from the photos.

Norco Monterey SL 80's rare road bike, excellent

So purple. Seems nice condition, DB frame and 12-speed Suntour Alpha 3000. Kind of surprised to see non-aero levers along with a fade paint job, but a little Googling says it was a lower model at the time. Things really got great in the late 80's, didn't they? But no one noticed because everyone was buying MTB's.

Nishiki Custom Sports, vintage road bike, NICE ONE !

Funny. I offered $100 and no response.
It does have Campy, a handlebar cupholder, and an entire extra wheelset, so I guess we deserve to be ignored.

But if you don't ask, the answer's always no!

Yeah, I did a little research on it and as always, people have plenty of good and bad to say about the bike depending upon if it broke on them or not. One thing for sure, its for a light weight person, which I am not. as one can imagine the early attempts at Ti had some issues. there was one rumor that the light blue frames (like this one) were factory fixes for broken welds and resold for a lower price.

Your groupset + 2 sets of wheels would fetch at least $200-$300.

Any offer less than that would be for a free frame.

I flagged that crap. It's not an auction site. If a seller thinks s/he knows what a bike is worth, they should just list it at that price point.

I don't have any problem with an OBO ad. Although, I would expect the seller to actually communicate with buyers. Low-ballers?

I find it difficult to valuate that bike. I think some people either put car wax on their frames or clearcoat them which makes them more presentable.

So, would you be more comfortable with an ad stating $1000 OBO?

Perhaps more realistic would be $700 OBO. It probably won't go quite that high, but I would expect it to fall somewhere between $300 and $700.
