I have two new 700c grey anodized rims, new straight gauge spokes, new brass nips, and used hubs, all of which I've had for years, and I don't want to invest any more money than what I can make on it, so maybe, depending on the condition of the components on the Centurion I could use on the Dawes which I think would bring a little more money than the Centurion. But again it's all up in the air if I want be bothered.
Yes, it is a nice looking bike with good wheelset and parts. Those rims look like they have barely touched by brake pads.

The only thing wrong with that bike is that it's 2500 miles away.

[h=2]60cm Cannondale R700 "Black Lightning, 3.0 Criterium" Road Bike!!! - $140 (appleton, WI)[/h]60cm Cannondale R700 "Black Lightning, 3.0 Criterium" Road Bike!!!

Up for sale is a 1987 Cannondale "R700, Black Lightning, Criterium 3.0", 14-Speed aluminum road bike in nice condition. It has a full SunTour components. This bike is super light being made with butted aluminum in the USA. It has an awesome black and gold color scheme. Also looks and rides nice. Does have some light paint bubbling under the cable guides. Also could use some new bar tape. Standover height is perfect for a taller sized rider. J

I'd probably put some chromed fenders and tan sidewall tires on her but, yup, that's a perfect bike.

I wonder if the racks are original to the bike?

I think it is a nice bike and would look great after a power wash but $800 is a bit steep. I spy a little bit of rust on the top of the chrome fork.

I wish this Masi in Jackson, TN were a bit smaller, the price is great at $695. Hopefully he has the original seatpost in a drawer somewhere...

1983 MASI 14speed Prestige

Jet, if you need a clunker, I have a donation pile. Or is that against the rules?

i got my clunker but others are still looking- its actually been fun to scour CL and others for sub $50 bikes - some real pieces of work out there. That tourelli would fit right in! extra points if you keep that fork. (and ride 100km on it).
(I am looking for some cyclocross tires for mine... yes a sub $100 100km cyclocross bike. )
