I find it incredible that nobody in Silicon Valley has snapped up that Ironman yet. With the upgrades, it's worth triple the asking price.

Purple small frame Fuji Special Tourer in Fort Wayne, not cheap, doesnt look like it has a rear brake, though.

(I am looking for some cyclocross tires for mine... yes a sub $100 100km cyclocross bike. )

Jetboy,
I have a pair of cheap 'cross tires with decent tread, wire bead Kenda Kwicker in 32mm that I will gladly donate to the cause. The trick is getting them from Lagunitas to Oakland without breaking the budget. Wire bead tires are surprisingly bulky, though twisting them in half reduces their size considerably. I'm guessing about $10 to mail.

[h=2]FS: Azor Dutch Transport Bicycle - $725 (Arlington Heights)
[/h]https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/bik/5632403392.html

Up for sale is my Azor Transport Dutch Bike... this Dutch Transport fiets (bike) is a piece of art. Hand built in the Netherlands by Azor Bikes, the quality is superior and ready for many decades of heavy service. It's proven design has made people smile for over a century. This is built like a tank, and able to withstand all types of conditions. It has a front and rear light. This bike was tuned up at J.C. Lind, with fresh Schwalbe tires installed less than 100 miles ago.

WHY SHOULD YOU RIDE A DUTCH BIKE?
--Ride smoothly and confidently including a load on one of the racks
--Fast to ride without compromising strength or durability
--Practically maintenance free with closed chain guard
--Old fashioned looks, modern comfort
--Stand out of the crowd
--There is no substitute for quality

This bike sits very high. The user should be no less than 5'10". This Dutch transport bike has a detachable rack on the front and is a great city bike. Unfortunately it doesn't get much use since I moved to the burbs. My loss is your gain. Priced for quick sale.

Both of those bikes are very nice bikes but for a smaller person, the Nishiki is at least all there, not sure why someone would remove the brake on the Fuji. But of the two the Nishiki is the better bike, it was in the upper half of their bike line. From the photos it appears to be all original and in excellent original condition. Anyone who is short and want a really nice vintage bike the Nishiki is a great deal at just $90.

The Fuji was in the bottom half, it also has some older stuff that can be frustrating like the cottered pin crank, older center pull brakes were not very good, nutted axles making a pain for fixing flats on the road but that can usually be converted to quick release, and the bike had all steel components, gears, crank, even the wheels but the picture is too blurred to see if the original chrome wheels were changed to aluminum, it's just a heavy clunker of a bike, but appears to be in really good condition but again blurred photo is difficult to tell for sure.

That's right. Would also be a sweet donor bike for a period frame that takes 700c wheels. I can't believe how clean that is, looks like it has barely been ridden. Hell I should probably head for Fort Wayne right now.

if you're debating on grabbing the nishiki, i would get it, especially if you know someone short. to my knowledge, it's the smallest frame you can get with a level top tube; i have two shoguns of the same model ('only' in tange 1) that share the same head lug. they did some creative design work to get the top tube lower for shorter people; to make up for basically no head tube, they left the steerer tubes extra long, and i have at least two inches in spacers.

the person who would optimally ride it would actually be like 5'1" to 5'3"; i can ride one at 5'4.5", but there's at least six inches of seat post showing, which might not be to everyone's taste.

condition: excellent

For sale is a very nice mostly original Raleigh pro, classic two tone blue Carlton frame, Reynolds 531, it's got a Nuevo record campy front derailleur and someone's replaced the one on the back, it has newer campagnolo brakes, and is an absolute pleasure to ride. Send me a text and check it out. It's a little larger than a 56cm but I'm 5' 11" and it fits me great so I'd say anyone from my height to 6' 2"

Very pretty large purple Trek 5xx $180 in SF Bay Area

TREK road bike 60 cm Frame

Edit: Looks like a downtube bottle braze-on was ripped or rusted off. And the cheap flipper fingerprint (black tape at end of bars). Inspect carefully.

If you hover over the Craigslist link, it usually shows the city as part of the URL down in the lower corner of the screen. I am always frustrated because most of the great deals are in California.
