Trek 520 touring bike - $500 (Pawtucket RI) hide this posting

condition: good
make / manufacturer: TREK
model name / number: 520
size / dimensions: 24"/ 61cm

Trek 520 touring bike (1989 model). 24"/61cm cromoly frame with a stand over height of 34" good for someone 6' or taller. 21 speed Shimano drivetrain includes Deore front and rear derailers, 105 hubs and brake levers. Shimano 7 speed bar end shifters, Matrix Titan T rims, Avocet saddle, Blackburn rear rack, and flickstand. New tires and tubes last fall. Has braze ons for low rider front rack, another water bottle cage, and fenders. Original except that I changed to wider handlebars and a hybrid style stem for a more upright riding height. I used this bike sparingly for trips and century rides, not for everyday use. In very good condition. $500.

Yep, that's how I was able to score my '86 MiYata 710 so cheap ($120) last December. Seller had no bites in over a week.

Bridgestone X-02 Bicycle - $200 (Bloomington, MN)

Bridgestone X-02 Bicycle

Bridgestone X-02 bicycle for sale. 48 cm, fits a 5' 5" woman. A gift from my husband in 1992. Low mileage, has been carefully stored for too many years. Needs a rider. White frame, in good condition. Fully tuned up by Penn Cycle in 2011 and performed well. Unfortunately was stored away again after that. Comes with bike rack, tool pouch, kick stand, tire pump, combination bike lock, and owner's manual.

I've gamed the system to get eBay's reduced shipping rates by pre-selling an item then putting up an ambiguous listing with $1000 BIN "or best offer" sending the buyer a link to it, then accepting the buyer's $1 bid.

Not completely honest, I know, but I also buy and sell so much stuff the regular way on eBay that they are definitely making some money off me

Not sure if their reduced shipping rates are the best available anymore: it's been a while since I sold a bike there.

Very nice Bertoni for $600. Campy Victory and Columbus SL(?). Not normally a fan of purple, but I could easily make an exception here. Looks like a 54cm to me(not 52 as advertised).

It's a smaller market, and they left it looking kinda ratty. (Betting it would clean up nice though). My size, but safely a state away :]

That Lotus Competition is gorgeous. I'll be in Boston next month, hope to score something nice while I'm there(b-day present to myself). In the mean-time, here's a pair of Treks from ATX:
You always wanted to build a 720 just the way you wanted it, right:
large 82 Trek 720 project for $100
Project 82 Trek 720

60cm 1988 Trek 660 $300. Very clean, pristine with 600 Tri-color(sis). Too bad it's to big.
