VINTAGE Trek Bicycle - 630 1983

Vintage Trek Bicycle | eBay

I remember selling these - they were the best-value point of Treks early 80s models. This and the 82 515 sometimes wound up with Campy rear drop-outs and a Ishiwata made fork that has an investment cast crown (this one has that fork - its Ishiwata 022). I speculate when you see the Campy drop-outs you likely are getting Reynolds seatstays and chainstays. Trek built in sub-assemblies and it was probably for efficiency - when out of the lesser parts use the better ones that were available.

Cyclone derailleurs Dia Compe Gran Compe brakes Good SR Cranks - Bars / levers appear down-graded

On ebay a couple have sold this year both over $300 - over $400 shipped
Since it's local pick-up and starts at $75 who knows?

It would fix up excellently, I'd go for that before paying an arm and a leg for an Italian bike.

Our Verktyg hath posted that some of the Urago production frames were done by Bertin.

The forged ends and tubing transfer evident here suggest at least a mid-level machine.

This came up in the discussion regarding "un cadre de mystere":

Top tube cable guides look rotted out. Trainer duty? Drillium on the water bottle cage was neat to see.

Vintage Holdsworth Racing Bike - $300 (South Minneapolis, MN)

Vintage Holdsworth Racing Bike

A friend's father died and she gave me this bike but I already have two so need to get rid of it. Here's what I know, mostly told to me by a bike geared friend:

Vintage British Holdsworth frame with high end components.
Comes with two additional racing tires.
53cm" or 21" I think but am not sure (I measured main tube top from seat to pedal and that's what I got). There's also a "53" sticker that's partially covered but I think it reads 531 for 531 butted tubing.
Few scratches but overall in good condition. I've ridden it a few times and it rides very well.
Gearhead friend suggested it was worth at least $500 but I've got it much lower in hopes of it finding a new home quickly.

There are a number of threads on Apollos including a dedicated thread. That would be where to look. I can't help though on evaluating them.

Vintage Road Bike with Campagnolo

Tall no-brand frame with what looks like 45-46cm chainstays, BUT with nearly full Campagnolo Nuovo Record. For $200. Refurb the leather saddle, clean and swap the components to a nicer frame, keep or sell for profit. I had initially inquired on it as it's in the Seattle area, but I want my apartment clean and not full of projects...at the moment.

This Cinelli Supercorsa is reasonably priced at $950 in Reno, NV. Hopefully the original fork is in a drawer somewhere...

You seem to have my want list. You just made me spend money on a Tommasini. Now I may need to spend more.
