The Raleigh Super Course Mk II found by thumpism is curious.

Catalogue specification for these was to be fitted with NERVAR Sport chainset and Huret Chellenger gear system. Yet there were some which came through with an upgrade to NERVAR Star chainset and some with upgrade to Huret Jubilee gear system. This example got the NERVAR Star chainset and what looks to be a mixed gear system of Challenger front mech and shifters paired with Jubilee rear mech.

Pedals a replacement; originals Atom 440.

"Vintage Vitus with Dura Ace - $450"

Vintage Vitus with Dura Ace

Dunno if this is at a reasonable price point, but it appears to be a low mileage machine and all original. I can facilitate if this is what you've been seeking.

I got all hyper in the diaper for a 66cm CAAD5 Cannondale a guy advertised at a reasonable $$$$, but it was 200 miles away.
Fortunately for me, careful scrutiny of the pics demonstrated that it was a CAD3.
I already have a 66cm CAD3, so the $$$$ and drive were saved.................

Forgive me if this has been addressed earlier but are there any other good websites for buying used bikes besides Ebay and Craigslist?

I wasn't familiar with Zunow till I saw this beauty:

Looks like the same seller has a 3Renshaw frame for sale, too.

For what you'd get, $279 is a very fair price for the Peugeot Triathlon: 1986 Peugeot PSN 10 Triathlon Racing Bike 64cm Survivor Good Condition | eBay

If you could arrange local pickup in CO Springs, it would be a pretty solid deal given the condition of the bike.

VINTAGE 70's PEUGEOT - $500

https://maine.craigslist.org/bik/5720829824.html

VINTAGE 70's PEUGEOT - $500 (SACO)

Vintage early 70's Peugeot PX 10 - 23" frame. This bike is from my fathers estate, and was originally purchased at Aviation Cyclery in Manhattan Beach California, and is the same shop I worked at in the late 70's & early 80's. It had had some upgrades over the years consisting of Campagnolo hubs, headset, and shifters. This bike has been stored in my dads garage for over 20+ years and has not been ridden in that time. I have recently put it in the rack, and everything is operating as it should. The only issue I am aware of is a crack in the front derailer mounting clamp. I have not done any cleaning or restoration to the bike, and it is being sold AS-IS.

$500 OBO

Pinkbike, though it's more dominated by recent MTB hardware instead of the old 10-speeds that this forum likes.

Worth half the ask price IMO. Not only because of the rust, but likely damage done to the rear seatstay from the light (many of those had a dimple which dented the seatstay), probable damage to the seat stays from the rear clamp-on rack, the FD is cracked and unusable (as expected), and while the upgrades are nice and spendy, it's still not all-original (OG) and shouldn't command an OG price.

If this were $150 and closer to ready-to-ride, I'd bite assuming there's no critical damage or dents. Not worth anything over $200.

+1...usually $500 gets you an awfully nice PX-10. This looks awfully rough, and awfully unoriginal, for that asking price. I'm spotting low value gran sport hubs...not really a value adder. The simplex (?) dt shifters are worth more than the campys.

Did this come with suicide levers?!?

Probably nice to have stem shifter when that tall. Never seen that on these.
Nice it has original rack.

A little touch up paint & polish, remove the grab brake levers, replace the clincher with tubular rims/tires, the saddle can be upgraded, it is not so bad as you all make out.

The 531 frame is a nice common size, the Campy parts are okay.

I think $500. OBO is a fair ask.
Don't give it away, it's not bad at all.

Get it before that fork damages something or falls and chips. Poor thing.

This was posted here before and I can't find it. What was the verdict on this poor Raleigh? Competition?

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/5703908492.html

At $100 I'm tempted to resurrect it . . . as long as that headtube is not funky and the hanger is intact. Hard to tell.

The fork crown is definitely different than my '84 Competition. Looks more like an investment cast crown. Might be a nice frame under there.

make / manufacturer: Cannondale

XL Aluminum frame with chrome Steel fork

I've prices based on what I think the frame and fork is worth.

This bike is almost ready but not ready to ride, the brake lines need to be hooked up.

It's a project bike.

I also have a carbon fork that fits this bike if interested, I would throw it in if your willing to pay full price.

140 obo

Just bringing' this one back from a few pages ago here to say

1) It's a 1987 ST400 that got the
2) Totally '80s and especially-advertised (in their catalog) custom graphics!

Granted, not the best look in the classical sense, but I would think springing for the airbrush job would be pretty rare, let alone on a 400-level model. But hey, it's out there, and at $140, totally. Very cool. The nutty paint jobs of that era must continue to be preserved!

Pass, that crank looks like it is a 1982ish Gran Sport, made in Japan. Lowly high tensile frame.

I responded to this ad a couple of days after it was posted and then again a couple of weeks ago---haven't heard anything.

I think I posted this one in this thread but, if not, for $500 this is a pretty good deal on a large De Rosa in Mechanicsville, VA
