Cool $150 Italvega - Just add wheels! San Francisco. Can't tell size . . . 58cm ish

Nice + original bits, nice patina, chrome lugs and socks . . . "Super Record" might be the model. Looks like triangle tubing decal, so not quite the top model says Sheldon.

My turn to tease

I guess after 15 days posted, nobody gives a hoot to the Lambert / Viscount's. OMG, you're gonna die riding that thing sonny boy!! Don't bother kids, its now mine

Had the perfect timing to go that direction anyways, a bratwurst plus cheese to take home. Just dirty, old rubber, missing saddle, incorrect rear skewer. Thats all folks ~

Vintage bike for sale
That is a nice looking bike. $150 is cheap, a person can get a nice set of NOS vintage style wheels for not that much either on E-bay, but make sure the hubs and rims are Italian IF the original bike components haven't been replaced with Japanese components. Those bikes were very well made by Torpado in Italy with nice component packages, that is the same bike as the Univega but the Univegas were made in Japan, it's the Italvega a collector wants to have. I would be rushing over to look at if I lived in the area.

Good info. Love the rootbeer color too. I'd buy it myself or the PXN10 I linked above but (per an unfortunate 1 in, 1 out spousal agreement) I just sold my Black Lightning to buy a German Centurion of unknown provdence from Croatia instead.

A Litespeed Ultimate for $599? That's a steal. Somebody should be running over to grab it. This would be mine now if it were in my neck of the woods.

I had an earlier version of this bike once. I dare say that it rode as well if not better that my Italian steel bikes. Hopefully, I won't be banned from this forum for that comment.

Peugeots were nice looking bikes but their frames, even the PX10's were the most flexy steel frames I've ever ridden, so in that regard I don't like them, but with the Italvega they use columbus tubing which is nowhere near as flexy as the French tubesets. If I was in the bay area the Italvega I would want to see.

Yeah, these are extra shady with the different (and seemingly randomly generated) seller names on each. Earlier I was looking for that Chorus group now that I have a frame to dress, but it's looking grim for the super deals from China.

Rare RIGI Italian Bicycle (Stainless Steel)

Rare RIGI Italian Bicycle (Stainless Steel) - $750 (Highland, Indiana)

For sale is a Italian designed and built bike. Stainless Steel frame. Two tubes, about the size of stays, run from the seat cluster to the outside edges of the bottom bracket shell. The placement of these tubes are said to give the frame extra torsional rigidity."
"With the twin seat tubes design, the rear wheel can be moved forward --between the two tubes. The result is a wheel-base shortened by 6 full centimeters. The short chain stays allow six or eight fewer links in the drive chain." The wheels are Araya with Shimano 600 components, Dura Ace Stem, Front Derailleur Gian Roberts. This bike is light and fast. Thinning out my collection. Asking $750 or reasonable offer

I broke down when the next set came up for Campagnolo Athena vintage group set + wheel set 90s 1st gen 8 sp casette. Again, 0-bid user from China. I can't figure out the scam here - if they're looking to steal user info or ... what. But I got this response from eBay less than 90 mins later.

Ok, that's not very visible, so in short it says:

We had to remove this listing from the site and you're not required to complete the transaction. If you've already sent payment, the sale should process as normal and you don't have anything to worry about. If you have any questions about delivery, please check tracking or contact your seller. If you run into any trouble along the way eBay is here to help. Please visit the Resolution Center to help resolve any problems you may encounter.

This user is no longer registered on eBay.

So I guess they're aware of the scam. And now I'm going to go change some passwords, just in case

What an unusual bike, I wonder about the stiffness of the BB area with that odd twin stay seat tube construction.
