Will do, however it is technically at bottom of the pile that is only growing.

If it sits a bit, the price may improve.

A little tlc and Mrs. Gomango could have a new hot rod at the cabin.

Get some Fat Franks on that Saga, a full tune, a decent saddle, bar tape and she'd be ready to rumble.

I doubt it...that's pretty ambitious, especially for CL, without hoods, hubs, bb, headset.

Is it? I really didn't have any idea about the price. I just know the bikes I've seen built with this look really nice.

Way too ambitious: scratched seatpost and missing chainrings and chainring bolts, brake adjuster screws, and mounting bolts for the shifters --- at least none are shown in the photos. FWIW.

All likely to be true.

However, I saw a 30 or so year old Marnati yesterday.

It was an incredible bike decked out in this groupset.

Modern Tommasini frame. Vintage Campagnolo with Delta brakes. The exact reverse of what most people do. Current price looks extremely inviting. Other Tecnos are selling for more than that for frame alone. I may be bidding if it were slightly larger.

Speaking of Tommasinis - here's a great deal on one, especially if you can live with this paint job...

TORPADO COMPETITION 14 SPEED ROAD BIKE!!

SMILE when you say that, stranger:........

Seriously, not sure why you make that leap?

My avatar is me on the exact same frame, even down to the color scheme, taken during TT stage of the Tour of Marblehead circa 1974. It had the same decals back then as the CL photo. It was my first racing bike, bought used in 1973 (replacing my hand-me-down Green Peugeot U-08). Equipped with tubular wheels it came in at a respectable 22 pounds. While I never developed a great love for it, like I did for my Ron Cooper, purchased later that fall, it was a perfectly servicable racing bike.

Best regards, Eric

My apologies, Eric. I didn't mean to offend anyone, just outing a bike. Perhaps I'll keep my thoughts to myself in the future. Though I've been chided for outing bikes which others thought were overpriced as well. I can't tell whose bike I'm looking at in a Craigslist ad. Perhaps I should just not post bikes which look interesting.

I'm not sure how others gauge value of bikes which turn up on CL and eBay, but I suspect I do a subconscious mental comparison with my own bikes. The two I have in my stable which are pretty directly comparable are my RRB and my Schwinn Volare. The RRB was a custom frame (though not for me) built by Ron Boi in the late 70s. No tubing sticker, but probably Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL. Full Campy. Paid $600. My Volare is pretty much all original, first gen Dura-Ace, Panasonic-built Reynolds 531. I paid $500 for it.

Like I said, subconscious. I probably formed a value impression in a couple seconds. Also, I thought the Columbus sticker indicated a lower end tubing set. It was a bit hard to read.

Schwinn Paramount - $230 (Southern NH)

make / manufacturer: Schwinn

Hello,

I am selling my Schwinn Paramount series 5 PDG limited edition.
It is a light weight bike and would be great for commuters or for going to class. It would fit a rider that is 5'6-5'10' comfortably. It comes with a pump, speedometer, and a front light. It does have a little dent on the frame, but it does not affect the functionality of the bike whatsoever. I am asking $230 OBRO and can deliver it to you for 20$ for gas.

The components:
Gears/Cranks/Brakes: Shimano 105
12 speed.
700c rims quick release
new tires
Chromoly frame 54 cm.
Shimano clip pedals
