These are awesome. I've got the same bike but rebuilt it with Shimano MTB stuff. As is, it's a great bike and a beautiful, True Temper lugged frame with a very nice paint job.

The racks on this Mixte are sharp, they are selling matching bikes.

Matching Windsor Kensington Bikes Diamond and Mixte Frames

"Matched finish diamond frame and mixte frame Kensington bikes. Both are very low mileage and fun to ride. Windsor named the finish "Oxblood". It's very bold and classy with matching fenders, racks (the diamond frame comes with racks, but they are not installed). Diamond frame is 56 cm, which should be ideal for people between 5'8 and 6'0. I am 5'10 and found it a good fit. Mixte frame size is 46 cm, which should fit people between 4'10 and 5'7 or so. The 8-speed Nexus hubs work great. Brake pads and tires are stock with minimal wear.

The pair goes for $500 sold together, or either one alone for $300. A brand new one is about $500. (Look it up on Bikes Direct.)

These are very similar to the Oxford and Essex models also sold by Windsor but are 8-speed instead of single or 3, respectively. There are also significant similarities to other bikes sold now like Linus and Public brands.

Finally, I also have another 46 cm Windsor Oxford mixte (3-speed) in navy blue finish. It is very similar to the above mixte, but the handlebars are a bit narrower and it is a 3-speed. That is also available at $250."

Steve, excellent! Has all the gearing you'll ever need, swap the rubber to knarly fast gravel type, install a longer atb post to your stature. And you better hold onto this one...

We will see how she rides, lol. I have too many bikes. Picked up the Peugeot 2 days after buying a Trek 700 frame from here. Building that Trek frame up now. The definite keepers are the PX 10 and the Witcomb. I have hard choices to make. lol

Edit: I am not a good flipper as the bikes are always my size and built for me to ride, not flip.

Its in my house. Top tube plastic cable guides will need to be replaced. Has some paint chips but everything looks to be in great shape. Wheels spin true. The ugly seat will go in the trash. If for some reason I decide not to keep it, It will go to John who is also a forum member.

I believe that's one of those Danish Centurion bikes, no connection to either the WSI or German Centurion companies. This says Mangaloy tubing. I've also seen them as a Tange Champion 5 frame. These show up on eBay every now and again.

interesting. I was sorta assuming it was an entry level touring vs the pro-tour.

I don't think that frame you bought from him was an Elite. I stared at that auction for a while, and it took alot of self control to not buy it. I really think it's a Semi-Pro.

now THAT would be cool. I actually am not that familiar with the Elite .. I just knew it was a step or two down but still decent - and those long chrome lugs alone made the under $100 to my door purchase a no brainer. also its perfectly my size.

if it turns out to be a semi-pro I may have to rethink the components!

Edit: got me looking and I can't find any Elites- or even Super Elites with chrome lugs. fingers crossed you are right.

Pretty sure it's a Semi-Pro. Pretty sure I'm bummed.

I think Nesteel is correct on that call. Looking at the 1979 catalog, only the Semi Pro and Pro Tour had the chromed lugs. The Elite also doesn't have the dropout adjusters.

Looks like you got the top of the line frame for that year. Too bad for the seller, but good for you!
