I'm seriously overweight and my doctor says if i don't do something about it really soon I will face obesity complications that can cost me my life. I know I let this get too far, but... I'm scared, I don't want to die.
We've come up with a solution. I work about 2 miles from home and usually take the subway to work. If I had a bike however I can get a workout in before and after work.

So please, if you find it in your heart to help me improve the quality of my life, please give me your used bike

Thank you
Francisco

PS please don't contact with crappy broken used... I need something that will carry me 2 miles to work and back on a daily basis

Exceptionally nice Gitane Tour de France road bike from the late 70s. A really outstanding frame, made from 100% Reynold 531 tubing, the gold standard for vintage bike construction. A true classic for the price of an entry level bike! Very sweet riding and fast. Has nice mix of French and Italian components, including Campagnolo hubs and pedals, Brooks Professional Saddle, Stronglight crank, Mafac Competition brakes and cool looking Simplex shifters. In great mechanical condition. Small frame, suitable for riders under about 5'6". Ken 773-875-7607

This seems like a pretty good deal. I don't know if the 420 was as good as the 520, but it looks clean.

wowza, custom track bike owned by a guy who was 6'10"... would be terrified to go up against that guy!

http://images.craigslist.org/3n53k83...dfe85b1d54.jpg

This is a custom built track bike that I designed about 25 years ago and had a Davis frame builder build for me. It is all Columbus Chrome Moly tubing. The seat tube measures 65cm center-to-center. The top tube is angled 3 degrees down to the head tube. Head and seat tube geometry are for a very agressive ride. The fork tubes are round for added strength. I am 6'10" tall and weighed about 230lbs when I had this bike built and I wanted it to be very stiff and responsive. The bottom bracket is Campagnolo, so are the 172.5 crank arms. The pedals are specialized track pedals with toe clips and double straps. The headset is Specialized, the stem is a Specialized track stem, the handlebars are Cinelli track bars. It has a Campagnolo front brake mounted for street riding. The front and rear wheels are both Super Champion Competition Record du Monde sew-up rims with Campagnolo Record track hubs and sew-up tires (that are 25 yrs old). The front wheel is a 36 spoke radial and the rear is a 32 spoke 3X. Gearing is 52X15. I think I have a couple of extra rear gears in a box in my garage. I raced this bike on the velodrome twice and rode it on the street a few times. It literally has less than 100 miles on it. It is for a tall rider who wants a frame that won't flex much compared to production bikes. The seat and seat tube are not included, they are off my road bike.

In excellent condition,All original paint/decals/chrome. This is a great entry level road bike. It has front gear shifters- no outdated technology. I also added to this bike a tire pump, rack on the back and water bottle holder. This bike has very little miles on it as it mostly sat in storage. This bike is great for fitness/ training, races or even just getting around. This bike is also equipped with a mileage clock that I will throw in for free.

If you are interested in the bike please email me a number to call you on.

I sold one 2 months ago for $300 so that one probably sold in 2 minutes.
