An eye sore, I know but, if you look past the pink bits this is a neat bike for $595, a Columbus MAX Concorde frameset in good shape with some nice parts and good wheels

Hard to tell, but that seatlug doesn't look right for MAX to me.

Heck of a deal regardless, and I like the pink.

Nice bike, but $400 seems high to me for Panasonic's mid line bike. There is also a fair amount of miles on the bike evidence by the almost pointy ring gears. But if this bike appeals to anyone then get the old model T cranked up and going and race down there, but I would offer $340 and see where the seller takes you.

FWIW...I paid low 200s on my wife's DX 3000 and thought that was pretty fair.

They're somewhat hard to value because the frames are so much nicer than their more humble parts gruppos. Generally, a bike with their parts group sells 200ish. I think the Panasonic quality deserves a premium, but how much is a toughie to determine.

Right, I agree. One would have to go see it and determine if the bike is in as good of shape as it is bragged about. the reason I said $340 is because I'm usually on the low side and people will argue with me, so I actually agree with your 200ish price but was afraid to say so! LOL!! But having said that prices on vintage bikes what they sell for do surprise me, I think if a person who is selling that bike waits long enough he could find the right person for close to his asking price. It also depends on what the market will bare in that area too. In Indianapolis there are vintage bikes that are of lesser quality in both appearance and in frame and groupsets that go for close to that Panasonic, take this for example: https://indianapolis.craigslist.org/bik/5920418055.html I would never pay that much for that Trek, maybe $175 but not $375. At least the Panasonic has a good quality frame going for it. Or even more crazy is this bike for $500: https://columbus.craigslist.org/bid/5921255721.html I wouldn't pay more than $125 for this, having owned one before they were nothing to write home about! Crappy hi tensile frame with low end components, but it was great for trashing, err, riding on the wet beaches and surf of So Calif!

If not bent or dented, thats an excellent deal for the Colnago. Handsome in Saronni red! Genuine. From the stay caps, brake bridge, left chain stay and front der. braze-on, guessing its a mid 1980's. But unusual to see three top tube cable braze-ons (available on request). The pics are not good nor description but when zooming in, pretty clean. Campy, derailleurs, hubs, and S. Record brake levers / (and calipers?). Campagnolo rims and possibly a Shimano 600 chainset, early to mid 80's.

Agreed.

Loved mine bitd.

I have seen some excellent deals on bikes this last week or two.

In fact, I was just offered first grab on a Moots YBB 26er for peanuts.

Currently pondering.

sloar-

^ Perhaps PP the seller and then have him drop it off at a LBS? OR by chance check with the facilitator thread here.

Looking closer, I think the headset is Campy. Swap the crank and its complete Campagnolo. Really is a classy looker, no gaudiness. Untouched original. Compared to the large prices for rusty Colnago's on ebay, this one is a super buy.

Extra wheel set?

Difficult to view but the rims on that Colnago might be Campy Omega Street V type but with some decal removal.

edit: Ah, I re-read the posting. Nice bonus.

Curious if a Mexico. Might have to review the timeline but if its early '80's say 1981-84, possibly the chainstays were not recessed. I've also seen them with the Mexico decal on the drive side but of course decay and usually removed.

The original craigslist ad says comes with extra wheels. Also says best offer, so I'd be willing to paypal $500 and whoever can pocket whatevers left.

Wow, that's really cool. It was likely for a deserving soul with ZERO bikes before this act of kindness, I hope.

As for myself, although my stable is probably smaller than many here, I am fortunate to own four very nice bikes, so I've got no complaints.
