Oh man- the bike spam from me today is merciless. Original ad title is "miyata road bike converted for touring," but why do you need to convert what's already a touring bike into a touring bike? Modern RD, crank, & pedals. Butterfly bars and stem shifters can go bye-bye.

Miyata 610 - $75 (cary NC)

Can't stop. Won't stop.

(partial) 1986 Schwinn Cimarron - $50 (Cary, NC)

1986 Schwinn Cimarron

1986/87 Schwinn Cimarron frame/fork/headset/crank/pedals/u-brake. Lots of scratches, but would make a great commuter or grocery getter with braze-ons for racks and fenders.

Wow. Beautiful Lotus and great price. I bet it is the 22.5 size, so more like a 57+ fit.

Hey that's my bike for sale! Only one inquiry so far. There seems to be a number of nice bikes for sale at good prices in Raleigh area ( see posts above / below the quoted post) - so not too surprised it is sitting.

What can you tell me about this Rainbow Jersey bike? I can find no information online except a Milwaukee bike shop. Was (is) this a bike company?

https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/bik/5972792600.html

EDIT: Somehow, I missed the photo that states "built by Kurt Cira". What's the info. on him? Still not much on Google.

Yes, thanks, I edited my post just before you posted this. I missed that on the CL ad.

Any idea about this Kurt Cira fella?

This person can't take a photo to save their soul, but I can see it's a Japanese touring bike with cantis and bar-end shifters. Modern, low spoke wheels.

slightly modded centurion pro tour. Yes, with the braze-ons for centerpull brakes. I'm drooling, but I have neither the need nor the money to drive up to LA from san diego and buy it. I dunno if it's worth $195, but still.

If this was a 55 or 56 I would've bought it already. I might pick it up and take all the parts for another Peugeot frame I have and sell this.

Super clean vintage Peugeot touring bike. All original with leather saddle, chrome rear rack, and working dynamo generator and head/tail light. 52cm frame for riders in the 5'5 range.

Fully decked-out bikes like this were not popular in the States when new. This was more of a home market model that never caught on here. I was helping my cousin-in-law shop for a commuter bike back then and a shop in Lousiville had these in stock and he bought one.

Dougbloch, does your Peugeot frame have the braze-ons for rack, pump and generator? If not, it would be a shame to strip the parts from this one. Just my opinion.
