condition: like new
make / manufacturer: Basso
serial number: 912235
size / dimensions: 58cm
more ads by this user

This bike had been hanging off a ceiling for 27 years and never/ever used. Not one mile on it. It was a display and finally is giving the chance to join the road with the rest of her kind.
The paint is 99.99% perfect. Very small chipped off by the pump peg and toptube near the seatpost shown in pictures. Other than that is perfect.
the chrome in the chainstay and the Basso's dropouts are 100% perfect.
The Shimano Ultegra tricolor is the original equipment on this nice build Columbus Tritubi frame.
The handlebar tape was replace due to some pealing from the hanger to cork tape.

Frame:
1990s Basso Columbus Tritubi size 58cm
Basso lugged fork
Basso chromed dropouts
Chromed chainstay
Two water bottles mounts
Stand over 33"

Components:
Shimano Ultegra tricolor group
Araya 700c CTL-370 rim set
Sakae Custom Modolo Patent Anatomic Bend handlebars 410mm
FX Sakae quill stem 110mm
Sakae TCO Sports seatpost
Shimano PD-1056 pedals
Selle San Marci Aquila Gel saddle
Cork handlebar tape

An Atomic

Rare Vintage steel frame road bike Shimano 105 - $400 (Winston Salem)

"For sale is my Atomic 57cm steel frame road bike. I bought the bike a few years ago from a bike mechanic in Raleigh. At that time, it had the handlebars, grips, and brake levers upgraded. I have since added the Fizik saddle, pedals, and custom built wheels with tires. The guy I bought it from said he bought the bike from the original owner in 2007. The original owner raced bicycles professionally in Australia and received the bike after winning a race in the late 70's. It has Shimano 105 drivetrain and brakes, Tektro brake levers, Fizik saddle, custom hand built wheels with compagno polished hubs, vintage salsa front quick release skewer, titanium axle pedals, etc.

This is a great deal at this price. I paid almost the asking price for just the custom made wheels.

This bike was built in Japan, and the double butted steel frame is beautiful. The bike rides amazing and shifts great. I hate to sell, but am in the market for a mountain bike. Call/text for more info or if you have any questions."

The seller has decided to part out the Gitane Super Corsa at a start of $349. This could be a good deal for someone who has the group setting around.

I'm no forensic expert, but I'm skeptical that it was never ridden, primarily because of signs of use on the freewheel/cassette and chainrings. The damage to the decal on the seat tube and paint chip by the pump peg also suggest use.

Don't get emotional about it maybe being NOS, but it looks like a very nice bike!

I saw that, too. I would have been more interested in the complete bike, but not at the $849 price he had it listing for previously.

There was a French seller that had a smaller Super Corsa in purple, starting at $450. Now THAT was a sweet bike. Alas, too small for me.

$900 for Tretubi and 600? Even if it is NOS that's too much, IMO.

+1
Also note the pedal.

Regardless its exceptionally nice. In the end, if someone steps up for it and makes them happy -its all good. I have the same but a few years earlier. The right wheel build and rubber can do wonders. cheer's-
