Lugged Sirrus
Specialized Sirrus Bike - Price Reduction! - $165 (Chapel Hill)

"Minor scratches on it but no damage anywhere. The tires are fairly new. It's a really cool and rare color scheme. It just had a full tune-up at a local shop. We replaced the cables and installed new brake pads. This is a very fast and responsive bike.
It's probably a 54cm. I'm 5'5" and can just stand over the top bar. It's probably for anyone from 5'4"-5'10", more or less.
The price is negotiable and I'm taking offers."

The dangling carrot. Such a unique tandem by the late Mike Melton. Very cool equipped from the era. Though the Phil drag brake had issues, think its a unique piece.
Anyways, here's a very nice read on Melton:

Not quite vintage but definitely racy coolness. Good price. Looks like a Cinelli Grammo ti stem on there too.

Land Shark Custom Steel - $1350 (Homer Glen)
A beautiful custom steel bike made by a craftsman in the USA. Known for the fillet brazing and gorgeous painting of the frame. Race type geometry. Campy 8 speed components. Mavic wheels. Carbon fork. I'll delete when gone.

First post-worthy bike I found today is probably the best deal I'll find all day; how anticlimactic!

Possible resale purple ano bits like skewers and bottle cage (Ringle?) But otherwise, a cool e-stay early 90's mtb for cheap. XT thumbies? Seeing that U-lock holder pains me.

I think there's two factors. The SF-SD sprawl has lots of cool bikes, but so do, say Portland or Minneapolis.
The second factor is that it seems it's always spring there! In the upper midwest, sales fall off from October to March; they're pretty constant out there.
