That looks like an '87 Canpione de Italia that someone cleaned up real nice and hung a bunch of Nuovo Record stuff on it. It looks nice but I am not sure it is $1200 nice.

What Campi's are on this Bottecchia? Are you sure they're Record? Aren't the brakes Croces?

That Prologue is interesting. Sold as a frame only and for one year- 1987. So would be built up by the owner or the shop based on owner's choice of group.

Mix of Shimano 6208 and 6400, one of which would have been on its way out that year, and one on its way in. Pics are not good enough to determine finish or rust status, but the small number of feedbacks (14) and short eBay membership (less than a year) is offset somewhat by the stuff that people have purchased with positive feedback. Some of what he's selling is pretty esoteric, as well. And based on his history he takes best offers.

Maybe the seller will accept a deposit and hold it for you? That is basically what I did with this last old bike I fixed up. The seller agreed to take a deposit and he took it off of the CL listings. I wound up actually picking the bike up a few weeks later. It would be a shame to lose a bike you're really interested in.

Just a friendly suggestion.

Bianchi Volpe roadbike - $100 (Crown Point)

I called him Monday. He didn't know the year or size. I asked his height. He said 5'9" and that the bike fit him. Too small for me, too.

I would, but iv bought from him before and I don't think that would work unfortunately, for either of us lol
Its been listed for awhile now so Im hoping for a slight price drop and/or that it will sit long enough for me to grab it...hoping its overlooked because of its size.

Schwinn Premis 58cm light frame 18 gear shimano 27" tires - $170 (Allston)

make / manufacturer: Schwinn
model name / number: Premis
I have a Schwinn Premis that was made in Chicago. It is clean and is a great ride. The 58cm frame is good shape and is still solid. The tires are smooth and the tubes hold air very well. The wand shifters work well. I just tuned it up and took it for a spin. It is one of the lightest rides I have seen. It is the fastest ride that will not get stolen. The 700c tires are smooth and made for speed. Both brakes work with no problem and both tires are true. This bike is great for long rides or short commutes. Super light frame and very useful throughout the city. 857-258-9463 cash or trade

Thank you all for the assist, especially @crank_addict, who has given me additional information outside of the forum. You guys are not good for my marital relationship.

Rare to find unstripped to chrome in SF. Inspect front fork and frame - - looks bent but think it's the light.

Whistlin' fine, Arnold! (Though I'll try my best to restrain on further bike talk )

That bike has soul!

Anyways, on a similar note, the steel lugged classics are coming back. For 2017 Bottecchia announced the Leggendaria available in frameset (approx. $2k) or complete as built ($??).

Made in Italy, Columbus Spirit tri-butted main tubes and Cromor stays.
