The Cinelli was legit, I called my buddy in Indy and he called. Guy said someone already claimed it and was on his way to pick it up. He said he bought it 15 years ago for $150 and it was time to let it go.

Some interesting Treks

https://sacramento.craigslist.org/bik/6070792000.html appears to be a Sub-Culture, $60. Edit: feels hinky... he asks for direct email and the pics are thumbnails. I wrote him through Craigslist, I sort of want something sort of like this at this sort of price. 2nd edit: listing legit but I passed, it was a subhead not a subculture and more of a project than I want.

https://sacramento.craigslist.org/bik/6072751170.html 1988 850, butted tubing and chromoly fork with midblades, but clearly not all the original bits. Still has its Deore Biopace crankset and U brake, $80

https://sacramento.craigslist.org/bik/6030745085.html a 950, should be the good stuff, $100

make / manufacturer: Trek

1985 US-built Trek 510 road bike. Frame is Reynolds 501. Full Campagnolo Triomphe group (although I think the crank is Victory). Campy hoods have splits as pictured, but usable. 70s Brooks saddle in good condition. Frame is clean with a few scratches, not a museum piece but ready to ride.

It's an 'older restoration'. I take that to mean that no expense was spared on the restoration. Besides, it was a Six Days bike, not a mass market bike, though the austerity of the times is a good point.

I wonder if Six Days has any relation to the ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) motorcycle race series?

It's got wooden rims with cork pads in the front brakes. I don't think it has rear brakes (but I'm guessing that's not unusual for a track bike). Very interesting!

Around here i've seen Bottecchia frame/forks go for that price.

As I understand the history, six-day bicycle racing grew out of the six-day walking races of the 1860s and 1870s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6_Day_Race I believe that the reason for 6 days was that racing on the Sabbath would not be tolerated in many circles at that time.

The International Six Days Trials (later the International Six Days Enduro) came somewhat later, in the early
1900s.

$200 OBO for a Rare Nishiki Linear Time Trial "Funny Bike" with upgrades.

This bike is super light and great to gain speed going downhill or on flats. I strongly recommend taking it out to one of the NYC's velodromes to enjoy it's unique frame geometry (lo-pro, pursuit frame style).

Downward sloped top tube and 24" front fork with 700c back wheel, bullhorn handlebars. Back wheel is super light with deep V shaped rim with 16 spokes. Rear hub is Shimano perfectly spaced out to a 3-speed hub. Hubs, derailleur and crank set are all Shimano components.

Ultra Light and strong ChroMoly Frame. Frame size: 52cm seat post length (slanted toward rear wheel), 52cm top tube length. I'm 5' 4" and never had a problem with fit.

I'm only selling this bike because it just doesn't fit in my apartment anymore, it's taking up space and looking to move soon with less stuff. I'm also including the wall mount for the bike in this offer.

Email if interested.

Looks to be in relatively good condition (though I would have expected to see a Brooks...)

1987 Panasonic DX-6000 54cm on Craigslist in Asheville for $150

If you want this bike, I'm happy to facilitate. My plate is full even though I just restored - as in two weeks ago - a 1987 DX-4000 with a similar paint job (I'm not going to buy it for myself)!

An awesome, classic bike. Very low miles, great for a flat-bar conversion, commuting, or owning a classic piece. Downtube shifters are still smooth. Bar tape is crisp. Wheels are true and pedals clips still hold fast. Bike has been stored indoors for it's whole life, ridden very little, and is just being sold to free up space. Tires are okay, will soon need replacement. ~25in reach (center of seat to handlebar), ~32 in standover, ~21 in seatube. Good for someone about 5'9", give or take about 4 inches. Text is okay, email is preferred. Sale includes frame mounting pump, in matching colors.
Update: Front tire blew out upon inflation. I can install new tires/tubes for a small extra cost.
