"Checking if there are any Bridgestone fans in the DC area. One of my recent projects. Happy with the finished product. Ready to move on (I think) and clear the herd. Willing to ship via bikeflights.

1987 Bridgestone MB-1. This was the model/year that Bridgestone offered it as a drop bar mountain bike. Bike is a 20.5" seat tube and 22.5 top tube length. I ride most medium/large modern mountain bikes or 55/56 road bikes. I am 5"9" and it fits well.

Mix of New(er)/Original parts:
-Has original front and rear sun tour xc 9000 derailleurs.
-Nitto technomic stem (80mm)
-NItto Dirt Drop bars RM013
-Original Araya RM20 Wheels/Suntour Cyclones hubs.
-Newer Compass Rat Trap Pass tires.
-Rivendell Gold Shifters.
-Brooks Team Pro - Special edition
-Replacement Sakae Crankset.
-Replacement Tektro Cantilever brakes"
I don't have a good sense of what it's worth, but I have seen Bridgestone MB-1s go at a premium, this one is very nicely equipped and I love the finished build. If I were in the market, I'd buy it.

I'm looking at it tomorrow morning. Not my size, obviously, but it might become a Mother's Day present. Or, might end up back on CL... it's tiny.

Its my size, or about one size up, but it would work. I don't care for the red decals though. I'd love to get a pink or purple one. Mothers Day present - that's sweet! Hope it works out

Apart from needing a new seat and a conversion back to drop bars, this looks like it would clean up pretty good.

Looks like a replacement fork of some flavor. Careful inspection required.

The '87 520 Cirrus was a burgundy/slate fade, black fork was oem.
1987 Trek Bicycle Brochure

But a careful inspection is always warranted.

Posted this one a while back, but today I noticed it has drastically dropped in price. Looks like a good deal for $150. I would be going to check it out myself if it were larger.

Paramount Pt. II - $240**********??

Ok, guys, rolling my eyes here because I just got done with my '74 (and I love it) when along comes yet another presumably '70s-era 25" Paramount up here in the Seattle-Tacoma area for flippin' $240 complete, albeit with some non-original parts. Ok, a lot of non-original parts.

Nervex lugs and Campagnolo headset are easily identifiable, and I believe I am seeing a Phil Wood hub/wheelset.

Other oddball/non-original stuff includes: ...everything else. Deore shifters? Dia Compe G-Star side-pulls, Dia Compe brake levers, Suntour FD, MISMATCHING crankset (good Lord...), paint color looks non-OEM, but more knowledgeable people can confirm.

The frame looks to be a P13 judging by the chainstay length. Small tires and presumably 700C rims and still the tire to seat post gap isn't atrocious. For the asking price, this is a freaking score. I am out of space in my apartment (without inducing anxiety, that is), so someone's gotta rescue this or it's gotta not sell until after I sell at least one (almost done) bike. Geez, humanity, really**********?

I don't see any original components on it but at $240 you could probably make a few bucks on it, especially if those are Phil hubs. I think it's a P-10 if it's 70's era. It has fender eyelets and braze-on cable guides. Also, the curve of the front fork was last used on P-13's in 1971.

Thank you for imparting your knowledge to me. I think the Campy headset is the last man standing, originality-wise. The fork bend is similar to my '74 P15. No chrome/painted over fork lugs. Man, that thing is rough. Poor baby.

Sanwa Technique -$80

Early 90's? 12 speed, Biopace, Shimano Exage, decent paint. Seems like a good deal at $80.

A '74? Peugeot UO8 in rough but restore-able condition. Original leather racing saddle looks pretty cracked up.

I've re-evaluated several times this morning, still very tempted to call, but my better half would have it out on me.

Frameset looks to be in awesome shape, too. Shocked two of my BF cohorts north of town (closer) haven't jumped all over it yet.

I'm contemplating it too. I've wanted an SLX and a SOMEC for quite some time.

In other news here's a Moto GR frame for $175/obo with reasonable shipping.

Yeah, Motos are what put me over the N+2 for the year, two recent buys, actually. I recently got this Jubilee Sport for $80/local, and Grand Record for $150/local off the 'bay. $12 in gas for one, $20 for the other, and a nice road trip to ease my mind. Mavic wheelset on the GR was extremely nice, worth the ask price alone, sad its ST had moderate clamp pinch I missed but it rides like a damn champ.

I know people go ape for the classy red/black Moto frames of the early 70s, I get it, but I think the lavender frost scheme is the bees knees.
