me too I'll have to check the size. wonder how much shipping would be....

(edit) I just got an email from the seller the Captain is 21" C-T and the stoker is 19.5 . he sounds willing to ship but agrees it would be expensive.

*60cm*Italian Steel Road Bike, Lugged Columbus SLX, Campy Chorus - $800 (Boston Back Bay)

Date: 2010-04-04, 2:19PM EDT
Reply to: sale-7wevt-1676056375@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

-Basso Loto, Columbus SLX tubing, 8-speed Campy Chorus, Campy wheels.

After hoping that I would get used to it, I'm going to finally give up- the bike is simply too big for me. I'd like to get another bike soon (and more importantly, pay rent), so hopefully I can get this bike sold quickly.

Some info about the bike: It's a rare, beautiful, handmade Italian Basso Loto. Basso isn't as common as Pinarello or Colnago, but they made some damn good bikes. If you google them, you'll find that there's a lot of positive reviews of their Gap frame (made from Columbus SL). The Loto was a higher-end frame (made entirely of Columbus SLX), and the paint job is really nice. Actually, googling "Basso Loto" gives a lot of positive reviews of this bike too. The frame is still in great condition. It's light, responsive, and has the best ride qualities of steel. The frame is 60 cm, and beautifully lugged.

The bike is listed as a 60cm, but the actual measurements are seat tube c-t-c 61cm, and top tube c-t-c 58.75 cm.

The bike has a complete 8-speed Campy Chorus group, including the integrated shifting/braking levers (Ergopower, I think it's called). The wheels are Campy hubs laced to Campy Omicron rims, so they're quite strong.

The bike is in great condition, it's pretty clean, and the paint still gleans in the light. There are some very small signs of wear. I took pictures of the most noticeable places (see link below). All bearings are smooth (headset, hubs, bottom bracket).

Pictures are here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/48749029@N08/

The complete specs: https://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...orus&Type=bike
Note that the wheels are different than what is listed on the site.

If you do buy it, I can replace the saddle currently on there with one of the following saddles: Specialized Toupe, Fizik Arione Tri 2, Fizik Antares imitation, Terry Dragonfly, Forte Pro SLX.
I can also throw in pedals (either flat ones or mountain bike ones) if you want.

Asking $800 obo. The sooner you can pick up, the more I'm willing to negotiate.

Actually, it's called the fork "bend." Rake is something different. But I do agree that the "bent fork" folks tend to be a bit quick on the trigger.

Half the time I think they just want the new owner to doubt their purchase so that the bent-caller can get it cheaper!

Oh my gosh. Man, would I love to - I'm searching for a bike to redo for my eldest sister, and this would fit her perfectly...

Not sure if this has been posted but...supposedly Greg Lemond's bike. It was at $140 when I went to bed.

Is it just me or does that fork look bent? I'm thinking it's possibly the reason the original wheels aren't with the bike too. I brought it to the seller's attention but was told to STFU and/or bid on the bike.
