I think the frame is probably legit, but I think it has been updated.

Bottle boss braze-ons were probably added at some time.
Shifter bosses are also probably not original.

It probably was repainted with new badges from a newer vintage than the frame.

Nonetheless, it would be a nice frame, and if it is a repaint, it would justify painting to meet your desires.

Independent Fabrication Crown Jewel with pristine full Ultegra group (2x10) and Mavic Ksyrium wheelset. Group and wheels each have under 500 miles. Steel frame, compact crank, Chris King headset, Thomson Elite seat tube - all parts are top of the line. Bike seat tube measures ~57cm (c-c) and top tube is ~58cm (c-c). Paint throughout the frame is in perfect condition and I've applied framesaver at the start and end of each season. IFs are hand built custom bikes, this bike was built in Somerville (prior to their move). New baby arrived this month so I don't have the time to ride or the space in our apartment to justify keeping it around.

Local pickups only. I can show the bike at home in Jamaica Plain, weekends on the North Shore, or during the week at my office in Kendall.
