Oh, and this Moto GT mixte for $80... one of my favorite color patterns for the era, this, blue on blue and silver on grey.

For a Mixte Mountain Bike frame, this is nice in Cleveland.
https://cleveland.craigslist.org/bik/6144026677.html

Upper line around 90s Cycle pro model with higher end components. Medium sized frame. Chrome moly main frame tubes and fork blades. Suntour alpha 5000 derailleurs, index shifted rear. Shimano extra large cantilever brakes and brake levers. Viscount terra nova saddle. Sakae Sx cranks with oval tech chain rings Aluminum handlebars. Mallard sealed bearing hubs. Large 26 x 2.125 tires. In Europe the mixte frame is considered a unisex frame, and by design is a stronger frame than other low threshold conventional woman's frame designs, low step over height designs, for possibly those that cant throw their leg over a high saddle to mount the bike. . Women's frames with the low top tube are also throw backs to the day when women actually wore dresses while riding a bike. Lots of people like to used these older cro mo framed mtn bikes as a basis for a an economy Surley long haul trucker style off road tourer.

That's very nice. I believe it has been posted before and been on that list previously.

"Based on my research I believe the bike was repainted."

Yes, the repainted one, otherwise, maybe it was originally gold? I'm not sure but that forest green is nice enough.

"1985 Cannondale - $120 (Middletown)

This is a great condition bike. Everything works. No rust. Aluminum frame. 700C Campy wheels. Dura ace components"

$120 is probably worthwhile.... What sort of C'dale is this?

That's an '85 or early '86 SR frame with what looks to be some Shimano 600 tricolor components, Campagnolo Hardox Strada rims, original seat post.
No idea what might be DA on that bike- crankset, maybe? Cable housings are way too short, weird bar angle. Could be worth it for the parts but I bet it has some issues.

And a flat tire.

Well I thought the rotation of the bars up to that funky angle may have pulled the brake housing... but it's way too short. NDS and no detailed shots mean it's hard to confirm anthing...

So... since that's a strike out... this one looks nice too... More along the lines of what I like, but at $500 out of my price range (since I am still working on projects)

RARE like new HAND BUILT Serotta Fierte steel w/carbon fork & stays - $1900 (Brattleboro VT)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

make / manufacturer: Serotta
model name / number: Fierte
size / dimensions: 54 cm
I'm selling my RARE like new Serotta Fierte steel frame with carbon fork and seat stays.

This is one of the best steel frames out there. Serotta, a legendary and respected frame builder, hand built this frame in the United States. The names of the individuals who built it are listed in its frame genealogy.

It is literally LIKE NEW. I am the only owner, and I put less than 500 miles on it. I just didn't do the road riding I thought I would.

This is as light as carbon frames (18 pounds)!! But much smoother...

It's a sweet bike and deserves to be enjoyed by someone who will put some miles on it!

Specs:
Frame size: 54cm
Material: Serotta Steel
Build Kit: Custom Ultegra Road Build Kit
Stem: Ritchey Pro Stem
Crank: 170 Gossamer Compact Crank
Cassette: Ultegra 12-27 10-speed cassette
Fork: Easton EC 90 Superlite carbon
Headset: Cane Creek S3
Wheels: Easton Vista SL wheels
Levers: 6600STI levers
Seatpost: Thompson elite

From Serotta:
"The Fierte frame is Serotta's ever-popular over-achiever. Built of Columbus Niobium steel with a Colorado Concept down tube, it provides amazing lightness, telepathic road feel and excellent durability. This sweet frame also features Serotta's butted S-bend chainstays for powerful pedal action and sweet handling. With geometry optimized for everything from flat-out hauling to group-ride fun, the Fierte is ultra fast and smooth. And, the Fierte is constructed by the same expert framesmiths who make every Serotta frame, right here in the USA."

"Get ready to take on the pack and impress your riding partners with Serotta's Fierte Steel Frameset. This dream machine is handcrafted from Columbus Niobium Spirit steel, which is renowned for its amazing road feel, excellent durability and corrosion resistance. Designed and constructed by expert framesmiths, the Fierte is ultra fast and efficient, perfect for fast centuries, club riding and occasional racing. If you want an heirloomworthy bike made for serious riding by people who love bikes, the Fierte is for you." Ben Serotta

Brent, thanks for thinking of me. I do already have a Look KG86. Sadly, after I spent quite a bit of time and money building it up, and even riding it for a few hundred miles, I realized that the seat tube bonding at the BB had failed. Frame was purchased from a forum member and I think it was faulty from day 1. (I thought the ghost shifts with the FD when standing were an issue with the shifter before I figured out the real problem. Really wasn't noticeable unless you rode it and I'm not sure the forum member who sold it to me ever did.) I still have hopes of repairing mine, but am not looking to acquire another vintage bonded carbon Look from this era. Check those bonded joints!

Agreed, very sexy. I thought of doing a fade on the panels like that on a bike I painted and am almost done building up. I should have, it looks fantastic.

Man, I'd help you out but it is just too big. Been wanting an orange bike and a Semi-Pro, this would save space!

It's not mine. The bad part is that I have a 23" Semi Pro that I've completely redone to basically new condition. It's on the smaller side for me, and this 24" would be perfect. I'm just not sure I'm up for another project just to get the bars up another inch. (I'd probably be better off stretching and doing core exercises anyway.)

I'm really fighting the N+1 urges on this one.
