Looks to be an earlier Carlton with some Zeus/SR parts.

I am on the search for an Raleigh Team or Carlton track frame (57cm) if anyone happens to see one pop up. I just missed one this morning sadly.

Thanks!

Any tall fellas out there looking for a C'dale? I'm really too far from UVA to make a trip for a frame that won't fit, but cheap price! at 6'2 this guy must have had an odd preference for bike fit.

My one area of concern if you choose to facilitate is that Greenfield-style-chainstay-crusher kickstand. Would be something for your facilitator to check before forking out the cash, making sure the chainstays aren't ovular and there's not too much paint loss. Unless squashed chainstays don't bother you

I have a soft spot for Competitions and Huret Jubilee drivetrains - Campy hubs too. This one looks like it could have potential. Best offer in play too, could be worth it if it's your kind of thing but you takes your chances with a zero-ratings seller. If it were me I'd want to see left-side pics, I've been bitten by that once.

At that price, I'm okay risking it. I also trust the facilitator to inspect the bike. Any takers?

Nice (except for the mismatched wheels and that awful stem). I'd pay half...

Pinarello Montello Stage Racing Bike - $1000 (Attleboro)

(google map)

Rare find high end steel, light, fast and super comfortable. Factory paint was noted to flake off on these. I had it powder coated a few years ago, navy blue. Inside was coated with "Frame Saver". 1988 Tour de France stage winner. Always kept inside, pristine condition. An amazing bike! Own a piece of history. They don't make them like this anymore, complete with pedals and saddle. For rider 6ft. and above with long legs.

I bought the frame online from GVH Bikes, Inc. (Gary Hobbs) in the 90s, and had it built up with the components below.
Made in Italy.
Frame tubeset: Columbus XLS, chrome fork and stays
Top tube measurement: 58.5cm
Seat tube: 61cm (c to c)
Standover height: 34.25 inches (87cm)

Vintage frame with updated components
Headset: Shimano 105
Wheels: front Mavic Open 4 CD, rear Mavic SUP
Hubs: front Mavic, rear Ultegra 600
Bar end shifters: Shimano Ultegra
Drive train: Shimano 105, 8 speed
Brakes: Shimano 105 calipers
Tires w tubes: Michelin Krylion Carbon, 700 x 25C, 102 psi max
Crankset: Shimano 105 FC-1056, 175, 53/39
Cassette: 26/13
Pedals: Look ARC
Water bottle cages: American Classic
Stem: Profile Design H20 Riser, 95cm (c to c)
Seatpost: FSA FR 230
Saddle: Douglas cut away
Drop bars: Mondolo E-2091 ergo

Appreciate the offer, bot my style or brand on the Miyata, had hopes someone might want it at that price.

On the other hand, I've spent the last 6 days trying to find a facilitator near Northampton, MASS or anywhere on the west side to facilitate this Italvega, but I've come up short, so I'm posting it now with hopes that a fellow BF'er gets it.

https://westernmass.craigslist.org/bik/6154668331.html

Chances of another coming up this decade and this neat are pretty much nil.... I'm just wondering how bad the rust spot since it's not pictured.

That's a beauty. Used to live out that way, if we hadn't moved I would help you out. I spy a rust patch above the FD, that could be what the seller is referring to?

This one has been around for a while. I'm tempted, but I really shouldn't buy another bike and I don't even know what it is.
