De Rosa Primato

I've been watching this one sit on eBay for a few weeks. Someone in Seattle should reach out to this guy and go get it! I would have already if I didn't just get one in the barn.

This paint scheme is inspired by the art of Piet Mondrian, a dutch abstract painter who worked in the early 20th century. His paintings are an acquired taste for some, but they look great on a bike!

Composition II in Red, Blue, and Yellow, 1930

inspired is the right word. La Vie Claire just copied it directly.

Someone tell me not to buy this!
I have a Peugeot PGN-10 that just needs to be finished greasing and new cables installed, and a fully functional Soma Competition... but this is tempting just because...I need an aluminum option?
My wife would kill me.

The saddle position looks painful (well, my arms ache considering how much weight they'd have to hold up), but this looks like it might have possibilities:

Ah. It didn't click that's what it was. I'd seen the Mondrian-inspired Nishiki Altron, but that is a little more clear with its inspiration

Is this the one with the Vitus 172 frame, and the word "Course" on the drive-side top-tube?

If so, I just bought one of these a few weeks ago for $30 at a moving sale. It's white, and you can tell it had been ridden hard. The wheels are pretty used up, so I've replaced those, and I'll be replacing the chainrings soon after I finish my build. The freewheel cogs look newish, like they've already been replaced. The frame and fork are in excellent shape.

I have the stem/handlebar/brake lever setup if anybody needs one. Just PM me...

Smokin' deal. I just picked a white one 54cm up as a freebie just for paying 20% less than ask on a rare bird. Not entirely original, SR crankset, but the upgrades are sensible.

Raleigh Superbe Bicycle Made In England - $200 (Central NY)

Seller has provided a ton of photos in the ad (see link).

https://syracuse.craigslist.org/bik/6173904651.html

Raleigh Superbe Bicycle, Made in England. Everything is original except one tire has been replaced. This bike is a beauty, well cared for. You will see from the photos that it is in very good to excellent condition, some minor scrapes and rust. Sturmey Archer wheel hubs AW 3, Sturmey Archer 3 speed, Raleigh tire pump, Brooks Seat, I believe the bike was made in 1969-1970, 26" wheels, I do not have the key for the bicycle. There are many numbers on the bike, but I don't know which is the serial number. All numbers found are as follows:
R23025X
609458
871270
NGNA9
1239159 (under seat)
2125
SAE6903109

Another 3 speed in Central NY. This one a bit older...

Antique Indian Princess Bicycle - $80 (Dryden)

https://syracuse.craigslist.org/bik/6170725347.html

Made by Phillips for the Indian Motorcycle Company. It's a 63 year old 3 speed machine made in 1954, which may have been the final year of production because the Indian Motorcycle Company had just declared bankruptcy. Has undergone some restoration, but still retains much of its original character. The bike is mechanically functional, however, due to its age and historic significance, it's being sold as a display piece only. All money from this sale will be donated to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. $80 cash only please.
