This is a bit of a peeve of mine. If I see the caps and whatnot are missing, I try to negotiate into the deal. Sad fact is those little bits get lost on rides and sell at a premium. You could easily save those little bits off a bike sale and pull another $50-100 off the sale.

(I actually know two flippers here in ATL who do that - they buy the 20 plastic sunlite ones and replace on everything they'll fit, then sell the small bits on eBay for 20x or more than the plastics)

3Rensho in Rockford, IL. Needs a bit of love: remove the aero bars, reposition the brake levers, and replace the saddle and saddle bag. Might not need a whole lot more...

Tasty

Greg Lemond Ventoux 52cm c-c - $725 (Cherryville/Shelby)

(Columbus dropout)

"This is a beautiful lugged steel-framed bicycle. This is a hand-built frame, predating the Lemond-Trek cooperation. Columbus "Cromor" tubing. Originally purchased ≈1994. Ridden regularly through 2002. Re-equipped with full Shimano Dura-Ace components and upgraded, hand-built wheels ≈2000. By full Dura-Ace, I mean every possible component: Derailleurs, crankset, cassette, brakeset, levers, chain, hubs, BB, headset, seatpost. 9 speed STI levers with gear indicator. 53/39 front, 11-25 rear. The wheels are Mavic CXP 30 aero rims laced to the DA hubs. Cinelli bar & stem. Selle San Marco Era saddle. Continental tires. Cateye cyclocomputer (with new battery). Comes with or without the "period correct" Look clipless pedals (no change in price). The bike is so sweet-riding, it was definitely worth the component upgrade. Shifts perfectly front and rear, wheels spin true. The color is true in the pictures (bright fuchsia). No visible rust or dents. Own a beautiful bicycle for less than the value of the components and wheels. Please contact me for any other details or for other pictures. Email with phone number and I can text you back if you like."

https://charlotte.craigslist.org/bik...219556175.html

(Price is not particularly persuasive. Believe it to be a '90. Interesting build out. Posted for posterity and reference, and eye candy value.)

Vintage Bianchi limited bike - $199 (Haverhill)

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Bianchi
model name / number: Limited
Vintage bianchi bike in good shape. Shimano 600 components. All original. Pretty tall bike, stand over height is just over 32inches. I rode it around after pulling it out of the garage and it worked as expected, tires hold air, but rear leaks slowly. I wouldn't take it out on a busy street without going over it yourself, but it seems to be in great shape. Delivery to public transportation available with deposit.

199 text or email.

Schwinn Superior - $700. I don't know if that's too high, but I know there aren't too, too many around.

Excellent near stock condition Schwinn Superior with 23-inch frame
Very rare hand-built bike. These bikes were hand built by the same craftsmen who built the Paramount bikes using the same beautiful high-end lugs and steel tubing.
The classic color is bright with only a few nicks and scratches, some might even buff out. I did a light wipe down, but that's it.
Everything stock except the seat and pedals.
I have a pair of old school pedals I will include for free if the buyer wants them.
Firm fair price $700 cash.

My word are you finding some gems! And at astoundingly low prices! I really hope that Kestrel guy is missing a "0" or something as that bike is worth a lot. Or at least a lot more than $100.

It's kinda weird seeing quite a few nice bikes at such low prices, posted so close together...or at all, really lol I had to stop looking 2 pages in so I didn't end up needing to post more!

The ad is still up too, so I'm assuming it hasn't sold yet! I thought it was a price drop from the $500 it was posted at before, but I went back in this thread and its a different white Kestrel that I posted earlier.
