I dunno. To me that is still a sexy looking bike. I'd probably be weary of the $300 price tag but it is still sexy. Too small though.

Anybody see anything of interest in here? Park wheel stand and some Campy rear derailleurs. Thousands of spokes. I am having to resist this very hard.

If you're close, it's worth a look for sure. The tools are probably the best part. The truing stand alone is a good ~$125 minimum.

Very interesting. I see some hand tools, a wheel truing stand, lot of spokes, and maybe a dozen tubes?
I wish they were more descriptive of the contents in the blue boxes.
Not sure I see $600. value there, but could be?

1973 Raleigh GranPrix 10 spd. What's so special?

https://stlouis.craigslist.org/bik/d...307370874.html

Is this bike special? I'm not going to buy it. Raleighs confuse me, and I think I have one in the pile.

Not to be negative, from what I understand they were put on the same level as the Atala Grand Prix. This was Mid-level for Atala. I think for raleigh it was also similar or lower.

No need to worry about being negative. I have one, or one like it that came in a multi bike purchase. It's just been hanging on a hook for a couple of years. Nothing that caught my eye and made me want to start working on it,plus it is cottered. Uncharted territory for me.

"Special" is that it looks like it's in really nice condition. However, it's still just a basic bike boom 10-speed with steel rims that sold for about $150 new. If you were a collector who simply had to have one, it might be worth the ask.

Nothing special here. This seller frequently has his bikes priced a little too high.

for that price, you save metro cards in DC for 2 months before someone steals it, and you've been given a chance to ride, save serious cash, and actually enjoy what little of your life you have left of yourself being a professional in government ...

Looks smaller than a 55 seattube for sure. Pretty sweet to find those with original front and rear racks.

Vic doesn't know his stuff. He claims "SunTour Superbe groupset" which seems to consist solely of a rear derailleur. Front is a Mountech and everything else is Sugino and DiaCompe, and for that price he is not even providing bolts in the bottle bosses.
