Checking the Portland OR CL to check on a bike mentioned in a different thread and found this, which I would buy in a heartbeat, even if it is on the low end of my size.

Top Shelf Japanese Touring Road Bike- 58cm Univega Specialissima - $250 (Eugene)

High quality steel frame with top end components. Will take you cross country or be your every day rider. Rugged Japanese craftsmanship with amazing ride quality . Must try out to appreciate. They don't make these like they used to and a Surly will cost you 4x the money. Meant for riders 5'9"-6ft. This particular model is one Univegas nicer models. Check out the diamond cut outs on the frame! Also consider this. If you spend just a little more money you can get a whole lot more bike, thx for looking.

That looks bigger than a 58 cm to me, maybe 60 cm? At least the seller didn't say it was a 58" frame, I see that a lot.

Tommasini
This Tommasini with Corsa Record group was first offered in a large Facebook group. I am surprised that it hasn't sold. I'm very fond of both Tommasinis and C-Record. If it were only my size.

I love finding quality 20 or 30 year-old bikes like this one, for $150 that look nearly brand new, and could look brand new with a little cleaning. The seat's a little worn, but that bike looks like it has good tires and is ready to ride.
Seeing deals like this really brings out the hoarder in me.

Mods, I'm sad to report that this board needs its own dedicated "Corncob Discussion" sub-forum.

I posted a beautiful corncob Suntour freewheel in C&V sales without even a nibble? Now they are a hot item? I may need to re post it. LOL

Could be a good project for the right person. Looks to have a small dent in the top tube.

I don't know. Amazing what a little elbow grease would do. I don't think it's that bad. But I wonder if the seat post and stem are stuck.

Sorta like in a movie, when someone is about to get knocked over the head, but the camera turns away just before it happens, and all you hear is a loud "THUMP". Your mental image is much more graphic than the movie special effects could ever be, if that makes sense.
You're right to be concerned though, people get banned pretty suddenly around here.
