It is in beautiful shape but the A-D SL and the SLE were not full 531 (only butted main tubes), so this might be priced a little high. This one has been upgraded. The "E" in SLE stood for Europe, meaning all the parts were of Euro origin, so anything Asian on this is not original.

Schwinn Voyager in Delaware

A few days ago the price was $175 - now it is $195. I suspect that if you offer full price , the seller will raise it again. He didn't even delete the old ad. This is in the Philly area.

Interesting, thanks.

This Somec track bike on Craigslist NYC may also be overpriced, but it sure is pretty. I'm not sure whether the advertiser is saying that the rims are trashed, or if it just needs a new set of tubular tires. Either way, I would like very much to own it.

Well i got dumb & bought this one I absolutely didn't need. $150. It is a 3 speed and all works well. Kind of a hack installation on the electrics but I have had a recent curiosity about the E-bikes. Something I can tidy up. 7 year old batteries draw down too fast however rode faster than I need or want to go. Can't say its not fun.
A new angle on things to learn. Another forum to frequent & pump others brains.

I don't know if it's as old as 40's but it is old and very nice, very different. If it were in this area I would drop everything and close a sale.

1990 Titanium Merlin MTB 19in. frame - $1200 (Manchester)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Merlin
serial number: 2534
size / dimensions: 19in
I've got a 1990(based on the serial #2534) Merlin Ti MTB. It's basically collecting dust in my basement. I'd like to find it a good home. Someone that will bring her back to life. It has an XT 7 speed derailleur that's missing the set screw to hold tension on the cable. Otherwise, the bike is solid. See pics attached. It's a cool bike to add to someone's collection.

Vintage Fat City Cycles Fat Chance custom 24" size - $1200 (Newton)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Fat City Cycles
model name / number: Custom
This Fat City Cycles mountain bike was custom built for a Fat City employee in '84 or '85 and has some really interesting custom parts, including the welded stem.

Wheels are 24".

My uncle was a Fat City dealer in the late '80s and bought the bike from the company. It's been in my family ever since. It's time for this bike to move on to a new owner, ideally a mountain bike collector.

The frame and parts are in very good shape, particularly given its vintage. It could benefit from a refurbishing...or leave it as is and enjoy the patina!

$1200 or best offer.

Serious inquiries only please. Spammers will be spanked.

Vintage Aerowind Bicycle - $150 (Murray Hill) on Craigslist in NYC

What a weird frame. It looks like the last step in their building process was to put certain parts of it in an industrial press. Also, the handlebars here look like they were wrapped by the art department of "The Mummy." I'm kidding and I really don't know anything about it, although even I know those stamped dropouts make this a cheap, probably very heavy, bike. It is an unusual vintage ride for $150 though.

It is a Huffy so yes it is cheap and heavy but the group was very similar to the DA line at the time. The brakes are not original, the originals were sort of rollercam meets delta. It was an interesting bike

Stumbled on this one in a search. Interesting crank - haven't seen one of those before. NR rear derailleur replaced by Sachs Huret. Still, might be someone's cup of tea - way too small for me even if I were so inclined.

Serotta Nova - $495 on NYC Craigslist

I was very interested to read the "Cinelli with Fluted Tubes" thread. Does this Serotta look genuine to anyone? If so, why doesn't it have the decals I'm familiar with? The advertiser doesn't mention if it was repainted or not, and it does have minimal decals that wrap around the seat tube. My thanks to anyone who can lend their expertise.
