While I was putting Front pads on the Volvo this afternoon The Neighbor rolled out a Schwinn collegate and set it next to the garbage can. She said she bought a lightweight and no longer wants it. So It looked good to me with the only thing wrong is a flat. I would say its late 60's in pertty great shape. I don't know how to estimate a date for a Schwinn. I'm looking at nice grips & no reflectors.

[QUOTE=Penbuy;19944932]1971 Peugeot PX10 - $175 (redding)

"... 1971 Peugeot PX10 for sale. I've had it since my college days. Original owner. No chain. $175. If interested give me a call. Thank you."

I called this guy... been hanging from his garage for 25+ years. All original, I won't pay $175, but I'd take it for $100. Might drive up there this week.

It's a beauty, but he's asking $7,500 which was much too steep for me.

I won't have a bike and not ride it.
I'm friends with the seller, he's an older Italian gent. Very nice guy and knows his bikes, and his wine, he brings a bottle every time he visits. He does immaculate work on his bikes and does list them at high prices and rarely lowers them. He's very patient and will list them for years at the same price.

If you want one of these, this is probably as good as you'll find. Front and rear light lenses are intact but one plastic brake lever ball end is broken off.

That's the black chrome finish, color code XK. When I was repping for them one of the west coast sales reps who was balding was nicknamed "XK" for his chrome dome. The balding eastern sales manager was known as XKE (the "E" for "East.")

Right, I remember the accent. He was extremely personable and enjoyable to talk to. I could see it would be fun to share a bottle of wine and a few hours of conversation with the gentleman.

Quite a collection. The RRA and Grand Sports are swell deals. And the green International appears to have a C-Record RD, of all things. Link:
https://maine.craigslist.org/bik/d/v...326577824.html

"I'm selling a variety of vintage Raleigh road bikes, most with Campagnolo components and sew-up tires, some with Brooks seats. They have been appraised by a bike dealer. These bikes were kept in great working order by my father, a former competitive cyclist. Sorry to part with them but most are too large for me and there are far more than I will ever need.

Professional, blue 21.5": Cinelli bars & stem, Brooks seat, all Camagnolo Nuovo Record components, sew-up, tubular tires; $1500
Professional Silver 21.5": Chimano derailer, rest Campi components, Trip T stem; GB standard bars, $800
International Green: 21.5"; Campi derailer, hub and gear, Reynolds tubing, not original brakes, no seat (but can get one for it),$450
International Mink Brown 21.5": all original components except Campi derailleur, old but great shape, $550
International Silver - not sure on size - (would guess 21.5") - most original components or Campi $600
RRA -21.5": Good condition; Campagnolo components; no seat (but can get one for it) $200
Grand Sport - not sure on size- good working order - $200"

Wall Find!

Iconic Trek Y Foil - $1200 (Grifton)

"Bike sold originally sold for over $5k and was banned by several circuits because it was so fast. I DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL HANDLEBARS as they were swapped out at purchase. Bike has only been removed from the wall in the last 4+ years to be serviced one time."
