I'd get it if I were there. Great bike.

It's all Record, racing triple. Couple of scratches covered with touchup paint, but in great condition otherwise. Just needs a new stem and a Brooks Pro. I was thinking of looking at it Sunday on my way to dive in Monterey, but made an extra trip Saturday morning once I saw it getting attention on this thread :-). I was working on building a Litespeed triple for double centuries, so looks like it will go back to a double and be flipped.

Light Road Bike with Aero Bars and Computer - $220 (JP)

Reply to: sale-j9kue-1700114921@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

60cm road bike for sale. Good for someone around 6 foot. It has 10 speeds, and shifts and brakes exceptionally well. I put a brand new front tube/tire on it too.I bought it used with the intention of putting some serious miles on it, but am a little too injured right now to follow through with my plans. The chain/chainrings/cassette have virtually no wear, and this bike rides like it was brand new. It comes with an old bike computer. I have not tested it out (no batteries), but it seems to be in working order and should provide basic stats on your trip. price is firm. email if interested.

Vintage Trek 400, 56 cm - $400 (Somerville)

Reply to: sale-y9bqu-1700088452@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Turqoise with yellow accents, steel frame Trek 400.
Beautiful lugged frame.
Made in the USA (for real!).
Great to ride as is (triple chain ring) or for a conversion. I can give you some bull horn handle bars to go with it if you want to put those on.
This is a 56cm frame, so probably for riders 5'9" and taller.

True enough. As another wrote, it's in D.C., I'm trying to get my hands on it, and the seller hasn't yet responded. Thinking I might have to take the bus down from NYC this weekend...

I hate to be a downer, but at that price the bike wouldn't last more than an hour in the DC marketplace.

Did you need a touring bike that small?

I was afraid of that, but I promise I won't take it personal. I'm 5'10", with short legs, but you're right, it's probably a little short. Now I'm on the trail of another one, this time in Florida. Anybody in Key West willing to facilitate a purchase?

Just a few minutes left. Someone might correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the frame is chromoly and the fork is hi-ten, but it still seems like a decent price.

Currently $41 and local pickup near Bloomington, Il.

Selling this Cannondale 2.8. It's got a 30" standover and measures 45cm from the middle of the crank to the middle of the top tube. Full Shimano 105. Bar end shifters: indexed for the rear, friction for the front to eliminate that annoying chatter. VERY light since it's so small. Also have 56T and 42T chainrings (Shimano) if you're a real badass (Add $35 for both). Lock/fender/pedals not included.

1996 Eddy Merckx (Team Motorola Bike) branded Caloi - $1900 (East Cobb)

I rode this bike off and on for about 3 years and since then it has either been in the basement or the garage while I rode a newer bike. There is still nothing like a handmade steel bike but the wife wants me to sell a few bikes.

Measurements are as follows:

Top Tube c to c about 23.5" or 59.69 cm
Seat Tube c to c about 23 5/8" or 60 cm

Bike is in very good condition with full 8 speed DA. Ambrosio rims. Also has a Cinelli stemwith "Cinelli" printed on the side.

$1,900 without the seat

Very Fast Vintage Men's British Road Bike - $150 (Logan Square)

This is the fastest bike I've ever ridden--it's geared high and perfect for cross-town commuting, which is what I used it for. Its solid construction makes it a good touring bike, too.

I bought it a year and a half ago from A Nearly New Shop in Lakeview, and that store's reputation speaks for the quality of the bike's components. The frame is from the 70s and was made by Falcon, which at that time was considered a premiere racing bike maker in the UK. Read a bit about Falcon's history here.

The front gear shifter needs some adjustment to work properly--I've never been one for shifting gears, so I never had that foible fixed. It also has a ripped seat cover and the handlebar tape is coming off on one side (makes it look rough to deter thieves!).

I recently moved to New Orleans and planned on bringing the bike with me, but had to leave it behind at the last minute. It's in the possession of my trusted associate, who will be happy to show it to you.

I'm not sure of the bike's exact size, but I'm 6'1" and it fits me perfectly.

Torn-up saddle = haggling points

1984 Fuji Del Rey, nitto, sugino, brooks, planet bike, topeak - $375 (brighton)

Date: 2010-04-20, 9:39AM EDT
Reply to: sale-qj3sf-1700935068@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I am selling a 1984 Fuji Del Rey which is in excellent condition for its age for $375 obo. Its a comfortable steel frame which I rebuilt last spring to commute on with new headset, bottom bracket, derailleur and brake cables/housing, brake pads, brake hoods, bar tape, cassette and chain, tires, as well as a new honey colored Brooks B17 which is still not completely broken in. Original gold wheels, Nitto bars and stem, Sugino crankset, and derailleurs. Wheels are true and roll smooth, the drivetrain works great. In addition it will come with MKS sylvan pedals, planet bike full fenders, planet bike head light and tail light, and topeak rear rack and topeak mtx expandable bag with fold out panniers. This bike has been great, i enjoy commuting on it, but i just dont have the space for it anymore in my apartment. The seat tube c-c is 24.75"/62.74cm and the top tube c-c is 23"/58.5 with a 100mm stem. ive had a lot of interest already so let me know if and when youd like to come see it. I live in Brighton in cleveland circle but work in needham so i can show it either place. It is in good working order, ready to go, only needs new front brake pads, hopefully it can be used for many more years by someone else. here is a link a pic and the original specs for this bike: https://classicfuji.com/DelRey_1984_Page.htm

In comparisons to my bikes, I think it is about a 54cm frame, but not 100% positive.

If you're interested let me know and I can check it out on your behalf.

Upgraded 1975 Motobecane Grand Jubile, purchased new at Joe Porter's Bike Pedler, 1975 ( I am original owner). This bicycle is in very good condition with only a few scratches on the original paint, no dings, never been crashed. According to sales literature, this frame is hand crafted. It is a very smooth riding, yet responsive frame. In fact, it is the most comfortable riding bicycle I have ever ridden and I've ridden many bicycles.

Components as follows: Frame- Reynolds 531 main tubes, 58.5 cm, Nervex lugs, Campangnolo rear drop outs. Fork is light, high carbon steel w/chrome tips and fancy crown. Wheels- Campagnolo Tipo small flange hubs, 36 hole, f & r, DT ss spokes, Mavic MA40, 7OOC HT rims, 700c x 25, Carlisle skin side tires and presta tubes. Drive train- Shimano Exage cranks, 170mm arms, 34-45 chain rings, KKT Pro Vic pedals ( will include Shimano Dura Ace, Look style, clipless pedals and size 43 shoes for $50.00 ), Sun Tour XC PRO F. der., Sun Tour FS-Elite R. der, bar end mounted grip shift and GORE TEX cables, Sachs 7 speed free wheel, 30-12 with Sachs/Sedis chain, Phil Wood sealed BB. Brakes- Weinmann center pull w/Shimano pads. Head set- Stronglight. Handle bars- Randonour style, Motobecane embossed alloy w/ special vinal bar and brake cover, 100mm alloy stem. Saddle- Brooks B-66 leather, alloy seat post. Weight is about 23-24 pounds.

Every thing works on this bike. You can fast tour or put some 32mm + touring tires on it, load it with panniers and see the world. It would make a good commuter w/mud guards.

I am asking $399.00. Thanks for reviewing this listing. I can be reached before 9:00pm, 615-408-4054.
