Beautiful lug work on this Windsor, $300. I can't tell what the tubeset is, but builders generally don't put lug work like this on gas pipes.

Not a bad price for a Univega Gran Turismo. 54cm, $175. In the seller's infinite wisdom, there are no drive side pictures.

The seller neglected to mention that it has a Surly fork. I am usually hesitant about bikes with replacement forks.

Thanks very much for sharing this interesting find.

Have not before seen a chainset done like this. It appears it may be a relatively standard cottered set with caps pressed over the heads of the arms. Is anyone familiar with this design? Given the bolt-on seat stays would expect it may have a two pinchbolt shell.

Would be good fun to see a closeup of the "hood ornament."

The first time I saw cottered crank covers was a pair of more ornate Italian-made ones on eBay just a couple weeks back. Amazing to see another pair so soon, and on Japanese bike.

It appears to be a utility concept similar to some of the Peugeot PE series models. Hubset is NewStar. Rims are SAMIR SAMINOX. Pedals Eclair. Wonder if it may have worn a lightling system and mudguards ex-works. Appears someone has performed a respray.

Purchased an Olympique frame with a few small bits still hanging on at me local dump many years ago. It was deep blue flambouyant and appeared to have come from a cycle comparable to a Peugeot AO8 or UO8. When I checked the serial with law enforcement they reported there was a "hit" (their term for a stolen listing) on it. So I turned it in and heard back from the police officer handling bicycle registration that the owner was pleased to get it back and planned to build it up into a complete bike once again. So the story had a happy ending.

Have never known anything about this badge. Perhaps we had a distributor for it in the Bay Area for a brief time during the boom.

Thanks again.

Noticed that valve stems appear to be Presta. If original, this would suggest wheels are 700. If an owner had substituted these for original Schrader we would be abe to view the necessary neoprene adaptor grommet. As it is there is only the knurled lock nut on the valve stem. At this era it would indicate a bicycle purchased on the continent rather than one made for the export market to the English speaking world. Suspect original owner either a traveler or a military person stationed in Europe. Might obviate the question of a local distributor, at least for this example.
