Jack Taylor Ladies Tourist Mixtie - $500

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Jack Taylor
model name / number: Mixtie
size / dimensions: 47x53
Offering up a vintage Jack Taylor Mixtie. I'm pretty sure this is the Ladies "Tourist" model, but the Reynolds decal with the model name is gone. Has cantis, but no concealed dynamo wiring. Fairly relaxed touring geo.

Seat tube- ~47cm x 53cm on centers. TT measurement is virtual.

Overall solid condition with some surface rust and scratches. Frame is straight with no dents. Features TA triple, 700c araya rims, MAFAC cantis and more. Good project bike.

While it is rideable is its current state, it could probably use a tune up and some TLC.

Please no low balling (I'm aware of the value), shipping requests, agents, all that. Just someone who will be into this and has cash in person. Please reply with contact information.

If I was asking for $4,000 on a bike (or even $400), I'd have more photos and a complete parts/wear breakdown on the ad.

Not everyone who puts an ad up actually wants to sell things.

An unusual nameless bike, with (it seems) at least one component by every significant manufacturer of the era. Those top tube cable guides are certainly unusual! Too bad the pictures aren't better. Might be worth a peek if you're in the Portland OR/Vancouver WA area (though the holes where the bottle braze-ons are a bit suspect).

From the Tall Person Files...

A 1980 Davidson touring bike in 27" / 68cm frame size, though it looks closer to 25.5" or 26" frame size, with 27" wheels. Regardless, it's a local hand-built frame from a well-renowned builder, and it's only $300 complete and in good shape!!

Peugeot road bike with Reynolds 501 tubing. Seller says 23" frame, but it's really a 25" or 64cm. Lovely color and condition. Price is very very nice at just $125.

I bought something else from the seller which he'll bring over when he comes to this side of the country.
I live in Rotterdam myself.

Could be an interesting experience being a proxy for an entire bike though. XD

If anyone's near Mobile this Trek looks like a deal. Looks like an '83 720 touring bike. Looks like a 22 1/2" frame.
