Couple decent deals from the Central CA coast. Miami Vice Ironman, looks like a 56 cm, frame looks to be in excellent condition, though I would toss almost all the parts other than the frame, stem, seat post, headset, shifters, derailleurs and and brakes. Even has a "Wobler" rear wheel! $200:

https://slo.craigslist.org/bik/d/cen...440588280.html

And a top of the line 1987 Miyata 912, also a 56, I believe, $220 (be sure to check top tube for cracks before buying, don't ask me how I know)

https://slo.craigslist.org/bik/d/miy...440437861.html

Not the $35 bargains you guys in the Midwest often get, but these are a couple of fine C&V specimens to lust and drool over, though both need some work and parts. People around that area tend to know what stuff is worth and price everything accordingly. But you get a nice selection of quality bikes, as the area is one of the best places on the planet to ride a bike, that I know of.

Where are you gonna beat this kind of scenery?

Miyata 912

I've no idea if this is a good price ($400), but it certainly looks like a nice example. Looks like it's led a very quiet life...

This is actually a screaming deal simply because you just don't see that color very often. If I didn't already have my DL1, I would be looking for a facilitator on this one. Someone here needs to go get that thing and turn the hand-grips back rightside-up!

Still, it's a good price on a somewhat rare 23" frame.

Don't these usually go for quite a bit more? I guess the price is low since it's shimano 600 instead of campy.

Raleigh Competition, the seller says 1973. $300.

It's a little early for April Fool's Day. It's gotta be a scam. Or an elaborate practical joke.

Maybe they just wanna meet up.

This looks like a really clean Fuji at a good price ($75). Too bad the frame is really big and usually hard to flip.

That does not appear to be the forged Sugino Mighty Tour that was on later versions of this bike and the America, but instead a triple version of the swaged Maxy II. The BCD on either one of those cranks limits you to a 34T small ring unless you get creative as I did for my junkyard Cimarron build.

Mighty Tour here.

Grannied Maxy II here.
