Now you can buy these red and green Bianchis for another $100 a piece from a flipper/restorer in Brooklyn. Since I think half the fun of buying an old bicycle is restoring it yourself, I'm not interested in paying a premium for his "tuned up and ready to ride" bikes, and he has a ton of them, some of them sought after models. In this case he did provide the valuable service of transporting the goods to Brooklyn, though, I think. It does annoy the hell out of me that he posts in the "For Sale by Owner" category and "refreshes" his ads almost every day, so you have to wade through them every time you look at Craigslist, but I can also understand why he does that.

You aren't kidding about that Ditmas Park guy.

Lately, he's really become even more annoying with the constant re-posts of his constantly expanding inventory. I imagine he's having trouble unloading the bikes. He's been sitting on some of his bikes for a looooong time, ad re-posting ad infinitum.

Yes, exactly. I sort of hope he goes bankrupt and has to stop. On the other hand, all his posts do make the true bargains harder to find, for those of us willing to put the time into looking.

One thing is for sure. It never would have been assembled like this while under his roof. He absolutely detested CPSC and would not permit any compliant fittings on any of his frames he had control over.

This Miele needs TLC and a makeover, but it's a nice frame+campy crankset for $80.

Three interesting bikes.

This Tommasini looks to be in very good shape. I wonder why it's been available for awhile.
Tommasini Sintesi - $700 (Roanoke)

https://roanoke.craigslist.org/bik/d...415320208.html

This Colnago Super also looks to be in very good shape. Price is in Canadian $. Very tempting.
Colnago Mexico Road Bike 57cm - $1200 (New West)

https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/bnc/...427030712.html

Richard Sachs - One of the US brands that's very highly respected. Does not come up too often. Frame shows very well. Set-up looks disgraceful but irrelevant inasmuch as the price is for the frame/forks only.
Richard Sachs (Chesterfield NH) - $1600

Here's another Richard Sachs. A better price being a complete bike. Somehow, it doesn't look as nice as the one above.

Richard Sachs 54cm 1981..? - $1800

Comparing the spade cutouts on the BB shell, I'm 99% sure it's a Colner dressed up like a Confente.

I've personally found and seen many a great score on vintage car parts, antiques, etc, because person A did not know or care about what [insert item here] was and they just wanted it gone, regardless of what they were selling/getting rid of. And I'm sure that I've sold items that were gold to someone that I just wanted out of my space and sold for whatever I could get for it.
The I don't care part is really big. Older, have money, 60's, 70's+.
Found a clean Gary Fisher Cobia in the thrift New Years eve. They didn't care and said I will donate. And I am the lucky poor slob.

Check Ebay completed listings. Not sure, but most likely this seller among a few others are dreamers.
Of course it is located in Taxassachusetts.

I dunno what these are worth, but I thought given its condition it would be worth a post.

Masi Team V3, $750.
https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/...424216954.html

Also, never heard of this custom builder before. Albert Eisentraut?
Guy is asking a ton for the bike, but it has full campy with some super record sprinkled in. Seems like he's the original owner, he even gives the frame specs.

When I first got into bikes in the early 70s, the only three brands I was aware of where Italvega (owned a couple - my first nice bikes), Masi (owned one with parts moved over from the second Italvega), and Eisentraut (had none). Nobody I knew actually had a 'traut, but it was clear that was everyone's grail bike in my little circle of friends.

Yeah that's a good price on the Masi. I don't know Eisentraut pricing, my sense is maybe that's a little high, but he was a custom builder in the Chicagoland area I believe and his work is highly regarded.

As I understand it, he learned in Chicago (Wastyn?), but spent most of his career in the SF Bay Area.

This looks like a Cinelli Supercorsa with a pretty bad repaint. $500 shipped in San Diego.
