Van, is your Limited my son-in-law's former train station bike? Pretty sure you're the one who bought that package of stuff from me after I tore it down and cleaned it up. And yes, baby poop brown would be a good description of the color, although when he had it there were layers of primer red and semi gloss black on top. He felt it was a fantastic bike, rode it for years back and forth from the train station when he commuted from Norwalk CT into NYC. And the Galli stuff actually held up quite well, I think.
Interesting factoid: Drillium Dude drove into the hinterlands of Washington State (before he shipped out to other more distant hinterlands on his last military assignment) to buy that from the original lady owner and then shipped it to me here in VA so my daughter could give it to her husband as a present. Small world, hey?

You should also post finds like this in the Tandem Cycling forum where I began a thread for such things. Thanks!

1984 Ross Hi-Tech Mt. Hood - $250 (Creedmoor)

"Up for sale is my Ross Hi-Tech. I am the original owner and purchased it as a commuter back in the day. It has always been ridden on the road only and has never had any rust because it was cared for properly. I put new tires on it because the original ones were losing their elasticity from age and the chain was replaced at the same time / inspected by bike shop. These are nice bikes and it is a pleasure to ride but I just don't like riding anymore. Local sales only and I don't accept checks. You can call/text me @ 919.892.4716 and thanks for looking!"
https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/d...414905863.html
(I know it isn't lugged and has bolt on wheels, and isn't high end. It's of no interest to me at all. But it's shiny.)

My $25 Tempo that I picked up a few months ago. I would say it is in very good condition. Way too small so I sold it.
$500 Schwinn Tempo. Beautiful bike that appears to be in showroom condition, just not worth anywhere near $500, IMO.
The reason I posted it is because of the way it's described to be in "fair condition". Wow, if that's "fair condition" I'd love to see what "good condition" looks like:

Wow, you guys get the deals, don't you? In California we get the selection, but everyone knows to the cent what something's worth, and demands it.
I know when I'm done with a bike, I prefer to just give it away rather than deal with all the haggling involved with trying to sell it. I suppose selling a nice Schwinn like that for $25 is the next closest thing to giving it away.

The Limited was Eisentraut's "production" model. It was made for a few years in the late 70s. The Limited that I have is from 1977. The idea of having production model came from Eisentraut's business partners and Albert didn't like it, preferring to express his art in custom frames.
Cheers,
Van

Not the best deal in the world maybe, I don't know I didn't try to price it, but is that not the most awesome-looking paint jobs ever on that bike? Prettiest one I've seen in a while, though YMMV.

There is a slightly better equipped one with brifters in San Luis Obispo with the same asking price. Even though I have a '91 Paramount already, this '92 model is mighty tempting.

I just did a quick survey of BikeForums, and I believe this is the most posted thread! 2nd is on Singlespeed, and 3rd is in Road Cycling. I'd have thought Road Cycling would have had the longest thread since it has the most posts by far.
I must be getting bored being in the house so much because of the cold. Later today I suffer on The Sufferfest. Tour of Sufferlandria is coming up, Feb 3 through 11, 9 straight days of suffering, 2+ hours on weekend days, 1 hour each day during the week, with a finish of 3 hours on the last day, all on the trainer.

jeez... this looks nice-- 23 days an no bites...
also made me read once up again on how Trek made lemond apologize for his views that Lance was doping- and pretty much screwed him over, when of course he was right.

Here's another 2 cable guide 3rensho, Yellow jersey resto so maybe a "thing" with them or otherwise.

Or if that's too big, here's a small RRB with Shimano Golden Arrow components right here in Evanston for less than three clams. Ad says 54cm, but that's a mighty short head tube. This is one of the Ron Boi-designed/Taiwan-built frames.
Edit: I recall Ron telling me these frames were designed to accept either 700C or 27-inch wheels, so if the 27-inchers aren't to your liking, you should be able to switch to 700C easily enough.
https://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/b...373966138.html

(Seems a little odd that the 63cm 3Rensho has two brake housing thingies, while the 54cm RRB has three.)
