That's pretty cool stuff there, if it's legit.

Some people like the Panasonic DX 5000s with double-butted Tange frames. Here's one listed as a single-speed, but it still has the Biopace double chainrings and 5-cog freewheel, plus front and rear Shimano 600 brakes.
Downtube shifters and derailers are gone, and the handlebar is different.
Size 56, $250, maybe OBO.

Vintage 1981 Peter Mooney 50cm (50cm seat tube, 52cm top tube) built as fixed gear "town" bicycle for sale. Peter Mooney is still making custom frames today in Belmont. Very classy ride, this bike is built with a combination of original Campagnolo and modern parts that work together nicely, both aesthetically and mechanically speaking. Parts include Brooks Cambium C17 saddle, Campagnolo headset, Bontrager Satellite handlebar, Ergon Biokork grips, Alex cartridge-bearing-flip-flop-track rear wheel with Surly 19T track cog and Surly lock-ring, Mavic Open Pro SUP rim with Campagnolo hub front wheel, both with Continental 700 x 28 Gatorskin tires, original Campagnolo crankset with 48T track chainring. All original braze-ons and guides are still on the frame if one wanted to build this as a geared road bike again. The frame and fork wear the original paint, and show signs of use, with some light rust spots, at some point a paint job might be nice; but the frame and fork are sound and straight. Please check out pictures, as they tell the whole story. $800

If I wanted I would ask for serial (or at least first three) to see what second digit is and if there are any other decals. If there is a Designed by Tim Neenan is on the non-drive stay and/or it is the first year lugged 82' I would jump on. That would not be overpriced for any market. It may also have the older style made in Japan decal on the seat tube near the bottom as well. Not the generic square one.

Even if 83' it states condition is excellent. Still fair priced.

Pedals, saddle and rear tire appear only non orig items.

I said this in another post, there is so much info out there that the gap is widening on good vs very good. One thing on these is many post the workmanship is not great so that is read. And they were produced in numbers it seems. There has been one lingering in Phx for some time, not great shape but last look it was $2-300 range. edit, found bike https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/b...451826614.html The first pics make it appear bad, but the others and description make it appear not so much.

36Chambers & Bikerider007, to your point, here is a Raleigh Super Course Mk II that looks like it might be pretty good, yet it has been listed, for only $140, for two months now. Maybe in part because it is not a major-city Craigslist (no knock on Lancaster PA intended - good place, good riding country). Still, I think that $140 is low, but the current market apparently does not.
Not sure if season matters so much with this kind of bike.

The "Mighty" Sugino Super Mighty is never less than an upgrade, they are easily one of the best in the business.

Totally agree on the cool as hell part.
