The very nice '85 Miyata Pro has resurfaced around Chi-town with a very nice price bump as well - https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/b...483022037.html

It's my size and I was sorta interested near the last $500 price, and if it had dipped below that threshold I might've done something stupid and driven 2.5 hrs south to get it, but not anymore...

Not fancy, but a very clean example of a basic 23" bike boom mixte. And it's cheap!

https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/...483011495.html

Vintage Gitane brand French Lugged Steel 23" Mixte Bicycle - $60 (Williamsburg)

newman rd at fenton mill rd

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Gitane
model name / number: Gran Sport Deluxe
size / dimensions: 23.5" mixte frame

An early 70s mixte frame with the red paint and chrome showing its age. Mechanically very sound since has been cleaned and rebuilt with all parts lubricated. It is ready to ride.

10 (2x5) speed with down tube Simplex shifters and Simplex derailleurs
Mafac "Racer" center pull brake calipers and pulls
Normandy freewheel and hubs on steel Rigida rims with 27x1 1/4 Michelin Tires
Greenfield kickstand

It is a large frame. The sweep back handle bars and short stem make a very up right position.
23.5" (60cm) center to top on seat tube
22.5" (57cm) effective top tube

Please see photos and contact with any questions. Responding to text messages from human beings.

$200!
Wow, that's a winner. Classic, higher-end Trek, awesome colors. Cyclone and Campy looks like. Brakes alone worth $200.

Hole it wasn't ridden with the seatpost only inserted a bit. Check for seatlug cracks if you look at it.

Looks like it still needs grips, but this is a nice little vintage Trek singlespeed conversion in Lawrence (not mine, obvs):

https://kansascity.craigslist.org/bi...484259554.html.

Given the stem and the saddle height, I think it's probably too small for the seller.

$30 Schwinn Le Tour. As the seller suggests, it "needs fixing" for the gears to work. Who knows how the other components are, but to me this screams single speed or 3 speed conversion. 61cm

Judging from how clean the bars and hoods are, plus no noticeable wear in the rims $250 may be a goof price for a complete low mile 'TriColor' kit.

Never heard of this brand before, but I love the paint scheme. That cool faded black-ano stem looks like it'd put the bars in the right place for a drop bar conversion, netting you some nice Deore 6 speed thumbies in the process. New tires too.

Another obscure mtb with nice components and neat frame details like the pump peg on the seat tube. Can't quite make out the model name.

There are **things about this bike to lead me to believe that it's actually what's called "bicicletta gentiluomo" or what the English & Dutch would refer to as a "Popular" that's been enameled over, festooned a Fossati logo & plunked down on a set of track wheels.

The eccentric bottom bracket, headset design and the breakaway stays are all reminiscent of early-mid 20th c town bikes fitted with a front rod brake and a coasterbrake rear. A design feature that you can see in the Raleigh DL1 right up to the beginning of the 80s.

Title as: Fossati track bike frame set - from the 1920s? Very rare
