I think you may have nailed it. I suppose the headset is the tell. That does not look like a Dia Compe Aheadset.

I sent an email to the seller to ask for a look. Seller is local, so it's easy for me. Honestly I am not expecting to see a decent frame.
But as they say - hope springs eternal.

I've been watching that seller considerably lowering the price. Very nice and great frame. I have the same paint scheme Basso (Arco) but lower model line and different equipped. I can help facilitate if needed. Good luck

Catalog just says double butted 4130 chrome moly. It's an 18-speed sport touring bike with what looks like it's original Blackburn rack. I think the Passage replaced it. The Passage had a Columbus Tenax frame and cantilever brakes. I have owned both. If it isn't trashed, it's an amazing deal.

Two for $80 - don't look particularly high end, drum brakes and an overall Raleigh or Dutch commuter kind of look. Could be decent beaters. Or total trash - Never heard of Phoenix before, seller says purchased in the Netherlands.

They look like average dutch bicycles. Buying the same (new) here would cost you an arm and a leg--easily $700 apiece. It's hard to go wrong with fenders, full chainguards, drums, and integrated (though likely non-functioning/useless) lighting. If they were within driving distance, I'd buy them just to have bicycles for visitors--the Omas, specifically, fit a huge range of people.

*edit* notice the ring locks and passenger pegs on the back. It would be nice to live where that wouldn't be a weird thing.

This has some pretty crappy components on it but the chrome accents seem to indicate a top of the line frame. https://wilmington.craigslist.org/bi...494364328.html

Noticed that on my local CL, as I live in Wilmington, and was going to post it (but thought it too many monies), with an @ towards you for identification as you are Bianchigirll!

I really like the chromed seat stay caps. What do you think it is, with which tubeset?

I'd be on the road to Berkley right now if it were my size! It says 58-1/2 cm but it's WAY larger than that. That's a steal for an '83-'84 Paramount.
