Masi Nouva Strada Road Bike - $350 (wellesley)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
1 fells road
(google map)
condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Masi
model name / number: Nouva Strada
Masi Nouva Strada Road Bike. This was a $2,000 custom build ten years ago.
This is a bicycler's bike. It's for the person who wants to have a road bike that is something different from all the other bikes it'll pass on the road. A one-of-a-kind, simply elegant and carefully assembled machine, with a vintage vibe.
This bike has a 29" top tube, so it's probably best suited for a person approximately 5'4" to 5'7" tall.
A custom built bike with a racing geometry beautiful Masi frame, and Mavic rims, and Ultegra Campagnolo components. The bike is swift and agile. There is no other bike on the road like this one. It was assembled around 2001 and has only ~2k miles on it.

Scott did the braze-ons on my Trek 510 frameset for my city build. I got canti bosses, lowrider bosses, DT shifter bosses, rack mounts, TT cable guides and more bottle bosses. Last I heard he was partner in a Charlottesville VA shop. Nice guy.

That is a gorgeous bike, I believe that you posted a picture of this very bike when you found yours in Buffalo. The price is not too bad, all things considered.

I especially love this comment “Note I tend to travel alot because I am an cargo plane mechanic, i can be gone up to three weeks at a time. For any reason you cant wait or want a refund just ask”.
In other words “when you want a refund because the bike hasn’t turned up don't expect a reply”

Hey, thanks for posting on this.
I saw this bicycle yesterday. I turned it down because there are no bosses for the DT shifters. Lots of paint problems. Seat is unusable.
Cinelli stamped BB. Shimano 600EX 6207 group set.
Think it is still worth it? I was thinking of going with bar-end shifters in place of the DT shifters (using the clamp-on cable stop)

I assume you choose not to braze on when you’re working with cheaper tubes. Do you know what the tubes are on these Paisley frames?
