I saw this bicycle yesterday. I turned it down because there are no bosses for the DT shifters. Lots of paint problems. Seat is unusable.

Cinelli stamped BB. Shimano 600EX 6207 group set.

Think it is still worth it? I was thinking of going with bar-end shifters in place of the DT shifters (using the clamp-on cable stop)
I just thought it was cool that a bike from a small American frame builder popped up on CL for the price of a Schwinn World Sport.

BITD, when Zeus was still extant, Park Tool made the CCW-16 "peanut butter" wrench to fit these cranks (and of course, Zeus made their own version as well):

Definitely some kind of steerer tube extender, not sure how it was installed or how it operates. (I didn't bring my hex keys when I saw the bicycle D'OH)

Good luck with your quest while someone less discriminating sneaks that bike out from under you.

For tubing info try contacting Scott at Blue Wheel in Charlottesville VA. I'm sure he can answer any questions you may have on how he builds his stuff.

I have no idea what tubing Paisley used, but the absence of braze-on shifter bosses has nothing to do with the quality of the frame. Of my four bikes, all quality frames, only the Masi has braze-on bosses and those were an extra cost option.

Marinoni fixie on Chicago CL needs saving. The "buckshot" pattern on image 6 is a bit curious.

Schwinn Paramount 1972 23" - $500

For sale is my long loved Schwinn paramount, Its the touring model, came setup with a campy triple up front. Now it sports a three speed Sturmey Archer drive built on 700c rims. Its a bit beat up (dent in top tube) but its still a beauty. Nitto albatross bars, rare faux lugged GB stem, Nice brooks flyer in great shape, Honjo mud guards, and schwinn branded saddle bag. Campy headset, cranks, front hub and bottom bracket. The frame is straight and true, rides well. My price is $500 I will not bargain, so don't bother if your not willing to pony up. Its a classic bike with a beautiful color you won't find on any modern bike today. That kind of paint is too toxic for today's standards. Size: 23"center to center squared. Bike is in Milwaukee WI.

That looks just like my PX 10. They made them with and without Nervex Lugs. That is a real deal right there.

Peugeot used plain Nervex lugs in 1972. I'm sure that is a PX-10, and a heck of a deal.

As others have noted, it is most definitely a stock 1972 PX 10. Plain Nervex lugs were used that year, with the slacker 72 degree angles. Tomorrow I'll help a friend get his blue 1972 PX 10 on the road. He has no idea what a Paramount is, let alone a PX 10. He's more into roller skating line "shag" dancing.<sigh>
